Well, I just got back from meeting Kibishii to pick up my EX.

I have so say he was an extremely cool individual to do business with.

We hung out for awhile at a Starbucks going over what we liked to collect. I can only hope that at least half the members here are as cool as him. I definitely recommend him to EVERYONE here. It was cool to make a new friend.

BTW, the statue is in mint condition. Absolutely beautiful. I would post pics, but my camera isn't working at the moment. :(

Again, thanks Kibishii!:joy:joy:joy:joy

Edit: I don't know if some of the hands on these statues are worse than others, but mine really aren't that bad at all. They match the color of the statue better than I thought.

It was cool visiting and your:( Patient Zero really had an amazing paint application; it was finally nice to see it out of the box. I also was surprised that the shading between the EX hand and his arm was not as extreme as some of the others shown. Remember, if Popculturecollectibles ever decides to release a Resident Evil PF line, you better keep a close eye on that PZ! :lol

Here's to you hunting down Ryu and Akuma! :joy

FYI: If they do give you a partial refund, they will NOT give you ANY reward points for the statue. They will not even give you partial reward points. I've read about this happening on this board before. Make sure you factor in the loss of all rewards points before accepting a partial refund.

Just another point: Now that I think about it, they might actually not give you any reward points for the PZ order AND the order you apply your 15% credit to. Just clarify that with them before agreeing to this and really consider where to apply the credit, or your 15% credit will amount to about 5% when it is all said and done.

Thats some BS, really.

That depends on how you look at it. If a partial refund is given in the form of reward points (I don't know this to be the case from personal experience, but it seems possible), then it could be that the way the refund is given is by replacing the reward points given on the original order with the "refund" points.

Now, when those points are used to order something else, no new reward points are given for that order, but that should not come as a surprise to anyone. That has been the stated policy on reward point orders since the program first started. That part isn't "BS" at all.

The only questionable thing in my mind is the idea that the "refund" points replace the original reward points for the damaged piece. They should be given in addition to them, and were I to be offered a partial refund in points, I would make that point very clear. I would either expect the points to be added to what I already had, or else I would demand a full refund and return the piece. The damage was in no way my fault, and I should not have to give up any earned points as a result.

They don't give refunds (or partial refunds) as reward points. What I'm saying is that if they give a partial refund on something (even if it is their fault like a damaged item), I'm pretty sure you will not get any rewards points for that item for which the partial refund was issued.

As for the partial refund in itself, I've read other members on this board who have gotten one for a damaged statue, and the refund came in the form of a store credit for a future order... with NO option of a charge back to your credit card. If they won't offer a chargeback on a partial refund for something that is not the customer's fault, and then the customer can't get reward points on the next item that partial refund credit is applied to, that is BS; IMO of course.

Robo, I really hope you can get a replacement and not have to worry about any of this! My fingers are crossed for you. Keep us posted and good luck!

Just got mine yesterday. And......

"meh"

Sure glad I didn't pay 7-800 for the EX.

You're kidding right? :horror

The paint and little details on this piece are incredible!

Everything from the open gashes all over his body, being able to see part of his jaw bone, actually seeing veins on his head that appear to be visible through his flesh and not just painted directly on top, huge bruise on his back under is shirt, gash on lower abdomine painted to make the wound appear wet, detail/paint work done in his horrific open mouth, making him look like he's in the middle of a silent scream, detail work on his shoes all scraped up and bloody with one of his shoes loosing it's soul, pants all ragged due to his shambling, blood drenched shirt, base painted with grime to make it look realistic with drops of blood, blood all over the guys finger tips, and let's not mention his eerie eyes!

How SS can come up with something as detailed as this and still screw up the Iron man bust is beyond me.

Are you sure you just didn't get the "battle damaged" version? :lol

lol I know man, I know. He is a cool piece. I guess I'm just saying I wasn't floored like I thought I was going to be. It just didn't have that "wow" factor for me straight out of the box. I got about the same level of excitement when I got my Stealth Iron Man comiquette, which I sold a week later...

Don't worry about it. Everybody has different taste. I heard so many good things about the Elvira PF and I even liked it in peoples pics. Once I got it and set it up, it just didn't do anything for me. The face was what killed it for me. If it looked more real I would have kept it.
<<<Still waiting for a 1/4 Elvira piece that actually looks like Elvira.

I hear ya, and I agree. I'm a HUGE zombie fan and was surprised at how this piece really didn't do anything for me. I can't really put my finger on it, but it just doesn't scream, "DUDE! YOU GOTTA BUY ME!" to me.

Cassandra Peterson has something against using her exact likeness for Elvira. There was a kickass 1:6 Elvira figure that nailed her likeness 100% and she turned it down. She's adamant about not capturing her likeness, but instead, the "essence" of Elvira. I don't know what her hang-up is, but I doubt you'll ever find a piece with the likeness you're looking for.

Has everyone been following the other thread?

does anyone REALLY think it was done only for the MONEY?? In the grand scheme of Sideshow's yearly business, 125 extra Patient Zeros is a pretty minute amount of cash (and you have to remember that distributors don't even pay retail price for them). Think of it as another form of customer service and going the extra mile - only this time the customer is not a specific individual, but their very important global distribution partners.

Seriously, Dusty's an awesome person here, and I don't want it to sound like I'm being out of line, but if the adding of 125 more figures should be looked at as another form of customer service, how come those who received these with damages and can't get appropriate replacements? Buttmunch received his damaged statue the day after they began shipping and was still told there were no replacement pieces available.

I'm just saying, if we're supposed to look at the income generated from the international edition as negligible and the addition of figures as good customer service, why didn't they even make enough for the people who would undoubtedly get broken ones?

Wow. I didn't even know about that other thread (I don't spend much time in the "Ask Sideshow" section). Some of the comments over there are kind of discouraging. But I added my two cents, and I'm pretty much done with that topic. I just hope I can get a decent replacement for mine. :(

Did they get back to you yet if they can give replacements for the regular?

Just got my regular PZ today. Said goodbye to my exclusive on Saturday. He'll be on a plane ready to infect Italy soon
