I think If I had'nt show the numbers pics. I could get admiration more then mistrust. but even if I got a chance to start over again. still I'd show the pics to everybody~

anyway.Facts speak louder than words

Let's see the next guy's pics

I'm surprised no one has called in yet to find out what is different.

That's what I was wondering as well. :lol That CS email doesn't really say ^^^^, it's the standard evasive "I don't wanna deal with this" response neither confirming nor denying the question. Additionally, if there's no difference between the International Exclusive and the regular, other than the stamp on the base, I'd agree that everyone who purchased the regular is getting shafted on the Es claim. :(

I also still think it's odd that no other international retailer has the Int. Ex listed and that the link provided by the international retailer for the "international exclusive" was a direct link to Sideshow's regular edition. So far I'm still unconvinced that this isn't a bootleg. :lol

You did the right thing by posting your pics. It is very much appreciated. It just kinda blind sided some people. Congrats on your awesome International PZ! And welcome to the forums. :rock2

They wont list it like that. When the Int Babysitter was listed on different European sites it was just listed as the Dead Babysitter with nothing showing it as International exclusive.

While that's true, just by looking at it, we all knew it was visibly different. If this is the same, how come Sideshow hasn't upped the regular's Es, since "international ex" or not, it's 175 more of the regular's run than the regular claims to be. The international retailer even provided his product link which was a direct link to Sideshow's regular edition of the PZ PF.

Sideshow does have product links for some of their Int. Ex products:
Subject 1025 Int. Ex: https://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=4489&sku=30072&source=IGA

And people do post about the Int. Ex products as well:
Spider-Man Life-Size Bust:https://simplytoys.blogspot.com/2006/10/preorder-news-sideshow-international.html
(they also posted about the 1025 Int. Ex)

But nobody's breathed a word about this until now? With all the hype surrounding it? C'mon. :lol

So where do I order the "INTERNATIONAL VERISON" if I'm one of the US folks?

International folks were able to order the EXCLUSIVE VERSION, but I want to order the other version :)

The rule of thumb with International Versions is usually you can find foreign e-tailers that will offer it up and/or eBay of course. Then usually in a couple of months SSC usually brings in a small alottment to their site which is when link on their site becomes active.

If you read the posted email above it makes it clear that the Int'l edition was made available directly to a few retail outlets in Asia and the EU for sale in their stores. It isn't available on line.

And what TheMike said. :lecture

Mike, what's the name of the girl in your sig..she makes my ^^^^ hard...:love

We should ask Sideshow via the Q&A page on the website. Get a definitive answer instead of all this pro/con speculation: https://www.sideshowtoy.com/php/asksideshow.php

I would've called SS's CS, but in this matter, since those who've ordered the regular editions are the ones being semi-shafted on the ES, I think one of you would have more leverage in getting an answer.

How could you say they're getting shafted? It says "International edition" so it's different from the regular.

Via the edition size? The regular edition of the PZ PF didn't really sell out until after the low edition size was announced. What if I sold you something and said it had an uber low edition size, then turned around and made and sold an extra 175 of the same thing to Angus in Scotland and just dabbed an extra word on the bottom of the base? Would you be happy? I really don't see the difference in this and, say, forced perspective to make a figure look shorter in photos. It's all deceptive marketing.

Then again, this thing could turn out to be a bootleg and the whole statement above wouldn't mean a hill of beans. And in that situation, the only people getting shafted would be the poor schleps who bought one thinking it was legit. :lol

But therein lies the problem. From A XUN's pictures, which show the figure from several angles, there does not appear to be any substantial difference from the domestic regular edition (other than the label itself).

As several people have mentioned, previous "international editions" have always represented some variant of the figure/statue itself, not just "it's different because we call it something different". Based on that logic, they could produce another run of a thousand pieces that are identical in every way to the current version (even the exclusive), and call it "Patient Zero Point One", and rationalize that is is now a different edition.
