What about CyberPowerPC.com or ibuypower, ect ect?

Cyberapower were a bit douchey when they messed up my order though. :/

Honestly, I would try building it yourself it you can. It isn't that difficult. This site is a great resource

pcpartpicker.com

For PC better build your own super pc than go for the Alienware brand name & bling blings.

For laptop i guess DIY is not as easy so some people who travel often buy Alienware Gaming PC. I know some architect & CAD users buy them because of the spec.

going to frys to see what they have, If I don't find one I like I might wait for the steambox if that's a real thing. I hope it doesn't end up like Half life episode 3, never coming out lol

I'd avoid the steambox, if it comes out it's likely to be overpriced and running linux making it fairly useless except for the few games that are available on linux.

you change settings on the Mobo or graphics card and over clock it you make it run faster but trade off is you need better fans or more ways of cooling it down, and it makes it more unstable.

The CPU or GPU is set to a certain speed based on how much power it uses and how much heat it produces. It's set at a safe level that shouldn't ever cause problems. Overclocking means setting it to a higher speed. Usually the processor can manage higher speeds with the cooling systems that it already uses, but people also attach better cooling systems that allow them to set the speed even higher. That's why people use liquid cooling systems because it allows them to set the speed much higher.

For laptops I like ASUS but towers I'll always build myself. Honestly in the Us so far I haven't found a single satisfying retail place for buying parts. I usually just go with Newegg.

Yep it is a shame. In the early to mid 90s in my area there were a lot of awesome computer shops, now they are all closed.

Ever thought about Craig's list?

I'd avoid them, just like Alienware. They'll customize a PC for you, but sell it very expensive (probably for the cost of labor). It's always best to build your own PC.
