I don't own a 4k monitor. 2560x1600 is my max. Looks glorious though. From benchmarks I've seen, it can't do 4k max. I think you have to Sli to do it. 4k is just super taxing.

Awesome. Download Afterburner or Precision X and you can set a fan profile to help with temps. You can set it to what you like with noise too vs how cool you want it to run.

I don't mean to veer off topic as the Titan talk is pretty awesome. Do give us some more impressions, tornado, as I think you're the only person here who owns the card :lol :duff.

But, I ordered a P3 P4400 Kill A Watt Electric meter from Amazon, and tested it out today on my PC (and I have to thank Vader AL for giving me the suggestion for a meter). Just to note: I have two GTX 780s running in SLI, a Corsair H55 Liquid Cooler, and five 140mm case fans. My cards aren't overclocked, but the highest wattage the meter recorded was 540 watts when I stressed the entire system on Tomb Raider. Now, what makes it even more interesting, is that the power draw from Tomb Raider was actually around 100 watts higher than when I was running Valley Benchmark at 1440p with everything maxed out. Strange...

From the way it looks, it doesn't seem like my system will ever exceed 600 W under intense game usage. At idle, my PC runs around 74 to 100 W (depending on how high I adjust the fan speeds). When I'm browsing YouTube videos, it's just over 100 W, and nothing higher.

Case in point: I've discovered I have way too large of a power supply than I actually needed :lol. Nvidia recommends a 850 W PSU for two 780s in SLI, and that's what I'm currently using. I'm not big on overclocking, so I can't see my power usage going up dramatically from what I've measured so far.

My max with 2 780ti's I had before and a 3770k both oc'd was like 720'ish but yeah I have a 1300 watt one and it's waaay overkill with what I have.

:lol

All things considered, I'm at least glad I bought a Seasonic PSU this time. It runs so cool, and the efficiency goes up a bit after a 50% load (which I can easily achieve during normal gaming sessions).

I'm sure my power usage will be a lot higher if I start manually overclocking and increasing the voltages. But, I haven't really found a need to do it as yet. Two 780s (at factory overclock), with an i5 3570K (at the stock clock-speed of 3.4 GHz) seem more than adequate to handle anything I throw at them. But, of course, I'm only doing 1080p gaming :lol. I'm sure I'll need more GPU juice at higher resolutions, and perhaps, a better processor.

I'm wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this. I installed the new Nvidia game ready drivers for GTA V (350.12). But, whenever I enable SLI from the Nvidia control panel, the DSR menu options under "Global Settings" disappear completely. However, the DSR options reappear if I disable SLI. I've done clean installations with the driver several times, and the problem persists. It's quite perplexing... does anyone know what's going on?

Sooo... My Titan X crapped out on me. I went to turn on my pc today and my monitor didn't turn on. I put in my old vid card and it works. I tried a variety of combinations and I couldn't get my titan to display anything... What a buzzkill. I was really enjoying it. I sent it back today and will hopefully have a new one soon.

I don't think DSR works with SLI..only single GPU's.

Man, that's terrible. Hope you new card will be better.

Ugh, that's what I suspected. But, it doesn't really matter, I haven't been using DSR at all... would have been nice to try it out with GTA V, though.

Is it EVGA? Christ! Call 'em and complain. They'll replace.

This doesn't exactly belong here, but I figured I'd share it here anyway. It relates to Windows 10. MS showed off the Hololens again today. I'm still pretty skeptical, but if this really is what it looks like...I'm pretty impressed. I could see it replacing tablets and maybe even laptops and phones some day. The potential is certainly there.

Just wanted to share that I have ordered the Asus ROG Swift PG278QE monitor. Will be upgrading from the BenQ XL2411T. Can't wait for it to arrive!
