:lol

I just stopped playing altogether. Waiting for that massive imminent update.

Me too....I need to finish Origins anyway so I'll go back to Knight in a month or so and maybe it'll be patched to look somewhat like a pc game.

And good one Riddick. LOL

It's like the saying the whole industry is the human centipede.

I'm playing Witcher 3 right now, tons to keep me busy.

They messed up but I have to give them props for doing all they can to make it right. Good job WB and Rocksteady.

hope they give this ver the same treatment CDPR did with the Witcher, about 5-6 patches in a whole month .

Now this really pisses me off to no end.

Rocksteady is leading our team of developers and partners as we work on the PC performance issues that players have been encountering. The work is significant and while we are making good progress on improving performance, it will take some time to ensure that we get the right fixes in place.

Below is the list of the key areas where we are dedicating our resources to improve the experience for our loyal fans.

We would like to thank our fans for their patience and invaluable feedback. We will continue to monitor and listen for any additional issues.
1.
"And partners"? Really? After all the crap still openly telling us that you can't even fix poor PC port w/o external help?

2.
We know what the problems are, so why don't you SHUT UP and do your job?

3.
Our fans this, our fans that... What fans? There's no respect left for your company. Fix this **** and say goodbye.

Yeah, hopefully the other issues get resolved in a timely manner, too.

I think it was good on Rocksteady to pull the PC version from retail, and offer refunds to anyone who requests one. It's good that they're implementing patches and fixes, but it would've been better if they developed a proper game from the start.

Now this really pisses me off to no end.

It's pathetic, and absolutely inexcusable when companies think it's okay to release incomplete and untested "Alpha" versions of games for retail. That's nothing short of giving a middle finger to gamers who've supported them throughout the years. Rocksteady still has a long way to go to make up for this gigantic ******ery.

What's really unfortunate, though, is that they're still working with Iron Galaxy - the third-party dev that was responsible for the craptastic PC version that we got.

It is pretty pitiful. They knew they were releasing a broken game. They must have. Only they forgot or underestimated Steam's new refund feature and how many people would use it. I think this is fantastic. Not that the game's broken but that a big publisher is taking a beating over it. It's a message to the other big companies that want to treat PC like a second class citizen and crap out a lousy port. No more. You've been warned.

Yep.

I'm also sick and tired of "they couldn't make it in time" argument.
Why would you even care for developer? Publisher paid them to make a product and gave clear deadlines.
This is not buyer's concern, stop defending those whose work depends on your ability to pay and inability to think.

All good points and very true. I'm just thinking about Advanced Warfare and the fact that you can't get any matches and haven't for many months in the new map packs (that we all paid for) and they do nothing to fix it and the other problems they had. So while I agree there is no excuse, it's nice to see a company stepping up and not hiding and trying to fix it now that the reality is the game is a terrible excuse for a pc game.

I'd imagine that with the new refund policy, we'll be seeing more companies "stepping up". This isn't as much about doing the right thing as it is a company trying to save this disaster from costing them any more money than it already has.

There's no way they couldn't have known. They just released it because it ran on high-end hardware and they assumed people would be OK with running it at lower quality to get it running well

I wonder how much it costs for developing the PC version of a multiplatform release. Like, is it really expensive or are they really skimping on the cost?

Anyone have a G-sync (or FreeSync) monitor?

Just wanting to know your experience. How it is and such.

I have a Gsync monitor. I love it but I'm not sure I really need it at this point because I get 120 hz with almost all games. BUT for like Dragon Age: Inquisition where I have vsync set at 120 that game (even with 980ti's in sli) it can range anywhere from 90-120 fps and I don't notice that fluctuation. I do like Gsync though but whether it's worth it for everyone depends on their set up. I think where it really is supposed to shine is the lower fps like 60 fps or so where it fluctuates between 60 and below 60 and you don't notice the fluctuation with gsync, it keeps it smooth.

That's dope.

The refresh rate on my TV is capped at 60Hz.
Sometimes, with dragon age; inquisition turning off VSYNC can help the frame rate but it tears like crazy.

Lastly, what card do you have (was it a GTX 980)?
