Is the only thing you can do is just let it dry?

If it's a water spill, natural air drying seems okay. But, for anything else like: coffee, tea, soda, etc, it seems like you'd have to scrub all of the internals with rubbing alcohol. I would've opened my board just to check everything over, but it used screws for an Allen wrench, and I didn't have the correct size. So, I just tipped the keyboard vertically and allowed it to dry naturally for several days. I'm just glad that the past few days were very hot with low humidity. It helped to speed up the process.

Mech keys are like sex on your fingers.

Absolutely :lecture.

I'll know the feeling in about two weeks, if Cyberpower ever gets around to sending my PC...

Hope they hurry the heck up!

spilling water on a mechanical keyboard is a nightmare.. I believe there's some sort of lubricant oil in some of the mechanical parts, and once the water mixes with the oil it will mess it up, it'll make the keys all sticky inside even if it's just clean water. That happened to my first mech keyboard and I ended up getting a new one at some point, it's all good since I wanted to try different cherry keys anyway, I now own a cherry MX blue, brown, and red. Still can't decide which is my favorite, IMO can't go wrong with any of them.

No, the Cherry switches themselves aren't lubricated. I've seen some fixes on Reddit, where you can use a straw to pour a few drops of hot water into a switch to loosen it up. You can even pour in a few drops of rubbing alcohol if your keys are really sticky. It's only the metal stabilizers on the larger keys (e.g. spacebar, shift, and backspace) that require grease so they don't squeak when you press them down.

My keyboard is working perfectly fine after the spill from several days ago. But, I'm going to try some Deoxit D5 to clean the W,A,S,D,X and Z switches (where there's a bit of friction). I play a lot of games, and those keys are a bit stiff compared to the others.

So it turns out for the 4K TV's you need to turn on Game Mode to be able to play games well, otherwise you get some bad input lag, I was testing GTAV at 4K and it was getting something like 45FPS but still felt really bad, changing it to Game Mode fixed it. I'm guessing that it turns off upscaling and the motion smoothing stuff which requires extra processing time. Not an issue for movies, but a big issue for games. That's probably why The Division was lagging so bad on PS4 for me.

Pliss we should do long plays together! :lol we can **** talk so much together.

Has anyone ever tried replacing their Cherry MX Keycaps before? If so, what keys did you use? I need some suggestions for PBT key-caps.

I noticed that Tai-hao has a bunch of key-caps on Amazon, as well as massdrop.com right now. They have limited availability. $42 for a set of 104 ANSI keys. The Miami Sunset color is the most popular... not sure about the pink/blue color-scheme, though (for obvious reasons, of course).

A few pics of my WIP video game display with mostly my favorite PC games that I played back in the day on my custom gaming PC that I built myself.

@ Pliss Took long enough. So weird...

@ Vector that shelf looks pretty good so far, for a WIP. Would love to see the finished product later.

Less trash for me to throw away but yeah, I can sympathize. I do get jelly when console people get these mega editions with tons of extras.

Yeah it is a little strange, the only thing I dislike about PC gaming but the huge deals and sales make it so much better. The worst I saw with this was MGS V's PC physical release which was apparently a downloader for the Steam version
