Wow...love the way you can have it show the differences in the graphical settings in that article...."Extra High" adds so much more to it IMO.

Ground Zeroes plays really nice on PC, I just hope Phanyom Pain comes out on PC at the same time as consoles. The graphics and framerate are great on this. Got a 3 hour play time already

GreenManGaming has Metal Gear for the $13.39 Steam price but there's a 20% off coupon on their home page you can enter and it comes out to $10.72.

GMG is a great site for those who have never used it.

lol Alcohol makes us do many things. :)

cool game and definitely worth $10. And after so many countless games of not being optimized or even efficient at release this one is soooo great to play. Even on extra high and with all the effects and great graphics it runs so great and runs a ton cooler than lesser gpu intensive games. Maybe they can help the guys who made Lords of the Fallen.

Anyone ever messed around the DSR setting? I can't really tell a difference but maybe I'm doing it wrong. I noticed I had to take SLI off to see the option in the nvidia control panel. I have a 2560x1440 G-Sync monitor so maybe the G Sync is the reason.

I upped my resolution to 4K..... on my 1080p screen, it gives only a slightly sharper image. I can't really find it that useful tbh

In on this thread, can't believe I haven't seen it before, I really should get out of the Alien section more often.

Is anybody playing Elite Dangerous? Just about to buy it.

People likely sick of me saying "vr", but Elite is one of the most insane things to play on the Rift. They've done a really good job implementing vr support and it shows. It's really sick with vr and hotas.

If you like flight stuff and vr, have you looked into DCS:World? Eagle Dynamics worked with oculus early on to implement their sim into it. Their sim by the way is unquestionably the best flight sim available today, combat or otherwise and the base platform is free to try. I don't have a rift yet but will do as soon as the production version releases.

Don't expect to play DCS like Ace Combat by the way, it is a fully modelled sim, flight models and systems. The USAF use their A-10c module to train real pilots and yet it is still great fun. You could start with Flaming cliffs 3 which is a slightly less hardcore sim within DCS: World. It doesn't have clickable cockpits but it has a nice selection of aircraft, some of which have been heavily upgraded since it released and are still receiving love. The F-15c and SU-27 have both been updated with advanced flight models making them superb. I'd love to try it with the rift.

Im not a flight sim guy, but I did try to get dcs working in vr. Never could figure it out. It technically has rift support, but it's not done terribly well at this point. Little too buggy right now. Those whove had better luck say that when its working right, its a pretty killer experience but the lower rez of dk2 makes it a bit weak at times.

Off topic!

Totally loving this new Nvidia thing: Shadowplay. Lets you record (and stream) in-game-quality video with no important performance hit. Totally free (if you have the card and a 64-bit system). Amazing!
