PC my whole life, never had a single virus.

You guys need to be more careful with your porn gathering. :lol

No spyware either? Have you ever had to defrag and spend hours "cleaning" things up?

I've had a PC since 1998 and I've only had one small virus that I got from a download in an email which I fixed myself. Any problems I've had since hasn't been with my computer, but my ISP or modem.

For what I use a computer for, I can't justify the cost of a Mac.

I don't think that PC get virus more than Macs, it's just the virus makers target PCs because they are more popular. If Macs were in the majority homes and businesses, believe me, they'd figure out a way to target them.

Here's my simple problem with Mac's--

Mac's are the same hardware as what you get in a regular Windows computer. In fact, it's not that hard to install the Mac OS to a regular PC. The only issue is, the user agreement for the Mac OS doesn't allow for this, you are only allowed to install it on Mac brand PC's

So essentially, you're paying almost twice as much for a computer just to use the OS. It's like buying a laptop and then paying $800 for the OS. Which is just ridiculous. For someone like me, I want the most power and performance for my money, and that's why I use Windows.

If Apple would allow the OS to be installed on non-Mac PC's or licensed it to PC manufacturers, it would be way more popular, but of course then they wouldn't get to overcharge on hardware.

:lol:lol:lol

Yeah because I can remember what I spent on items 6 to 7 years ago. Hahaha! I couldn't even tell you the exact amount I paid for my TV or car and those were both bought last year.

why not? I remember how much I spent on my PC from 5 years ago. I remember how much my car cost me. I remember buying a $1000 Oakley minute machine watch.

I just think youre trying to play off the fact that you bought cheapo PCs to make your Mac look that much better.

I've been a MAC user for about twenty years. It's the standard machine for my industry of Graphic Design. I recently had to start using a PC as part of a new gig and it's just terrible.

I'd swear I can actually hear it wheezing when I fire up Photoshop, then it takes an age to find my way around the numerous drives. This plus the fact that no-one at the office goes online for fear of catching a virus. Not the kind of environment thats encourages creativity.

MAC all the way, OS and navigation is simply better by miles.

You just need more RAM :lecture

:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Go to:
System Preferences--Trackpad ---and change your settings however you want.

And according to this article over time Macs are cheaper to own and operate in comparison to "Windows" computers. After the initial "shock value" sticker price you don't have to continually upgrade and protect your system with virus protection. Most people keep their Macs for 5+ years as opposed to others that upgrade every 2-3 years.

I owned my first HP from 1998-2007. I'm on my second one now and I had to get that because I could couldn't upgrade it which I only had to do once. I'm on my second one now. Though I pay for my virus scan, there are alot of free ones out there and some ISPs come with free ones.

I think one of the problems that people have are downloading alot of free crap off the internet.

Of course I need maintenance. Need to keep the mind and body sharp. My computer...no maintenance required.
You saying you don't??

:lol's at the posts responding to maintenence. All you have to do is this, or set that, or whatever.

Guess what?
All I have to do on my Mac is just use it.
:lol

and don't say this is the same as MAC, I didn't pay $2500-$3000 for Linux, it's free!

Throw that on your machine with the hardware from a PC and come back and talk to me.

^^^I almost bought a netbook with Linux, but I"m too scared to try it. I'm more than satisfied with OSX and my $25 copy of Windows 7....which I overpaid for.

U should learn, it's as easy as your MAC, if not easier.

They've built of the graphics end to make it consumer friendly, oh wait it's free, I fail there.

But seriously the power of linux kernal which MAC has for free, it doesn't get any better than that.
