I was born in 1968 and experienced all that ____.

Damn man, you're a fossil :nana:

And Double Dragon on the NES was epic... loved how you increased your moves as the game progressed. And it was fun to beat up on the bad guy and just before he died, stop and then add in a few more hits before killing him :rock

Freaky the stuff that I have forgot about. This thread has been a trip for posts like this one.

When that came out for NES, I saved $55 to get that mutha and I played it religiously, no more trips to 7-11 and cashing in $10 worth of quarters.

:hi5: I also remember going broke playing the ____ outta Shinobi and P.O.W. too. Hehe it seems like yesturday I saved up to finally have my very own P.O.W. game for nintendo.

And then came along Street Fighter. :clap

So is that how that game ends? I used to play it at our local library and loved it :rock But don't think I ever got past the first couple of guys :monkey2

Is there any place you can download games like this, or the old Kings Quest series?

I forgot to say this earlier when this image was first posted by ill Jedi

this picture rocks! sums up my childhood!

Do you remember where you found this? or who the artist is?

Im curious to know if the artist has a larger image of it, without the sides of it being cutoff.

The 80's - when Saturday morning cartoons didn't suck

I havent read through this whole thread yet but this one post alone made me have to just agree. I know every generation probably says this but tv was seriously so much better when i was a kid. Just in case you were wondering, i was born in 1982 so sort of mid to late 80's tv, early 90'2. Awesome.

As much as I love my computer and PS3, there is something about the old school NES and Sega Genesis that I keep going back to. I guess in part of my childhood and how great it was, I don't think I will every truly grow up completely. It's become part of my life to where I can't see letting it go. I still see myself going to the movies no matter how old I get to see the new Batman or whatever lol. Amazing to sit back and think how far we have come in the last couple of decades though. Still waiting on flying cars and hover boards though!

That is one thing I love about the Wii is the virtual console. The only Wii games I have are mario and zelda and the rest are from the virtual console. I love the fact that they have multiple systems in one. They still have a lot more games to put up though
