Anyone toy with add-on lenses for their smart phones? I've seen a few gorgeous shots done with and iPhone w/Macro lens. I just upgraded to a Galaxy SIII and so far have been pretty impressed with the camera. (definitely and upgrade over my 'old' HTC Desire's camera).

Just wondering if anyone has any first hand knowledge...

No first hand knowledge but in my opinion if you're going to buy lenses why wouldn't you just buy a real camera? The whole phone thing seems to be a phase and I wouldn't put any real stock in it.

Picking up an Olympus PEN EPL-2 and starter lens from a friend who's upgrading. My first Micro Four Thirds. I plan on picking up an adapter to use a bunch of old Pentax lenses. Very jazzed.

I'm a (quasi)professional photographer. I have a 'real' camera, but thanks for the advice jnmx2000.


And exactly Lejuan.

The set I bought for my phone as $9. And it's just for messing around/Instagram really. I don't carry my kit with me at all times, but I always have my phone. When the mood strikes me for more than a 'stock' phone shot, I have a Macro and wide angle on my keychain. Seems pretty 'no harm, no foul'.

Was just wondering if anyone had first had experience or recommendations.

The Canon 6D has caught my attention... anyone have any hands on experience with it?

i was really torn between the 6d and the 5d mark II but i ended up getting the latter....no regrets..

5D Mk II was what I was originally looking at, but it has been discontinued and the 6D seems to be it's replacement. 6D seems to have a few more bells and whistles and very comparable to the 5D while not being too much more expensive.

The fact that the 6D takes SD cards (and as such I won't have to invest in a whole new set of CF (them buggers are expensive!)), has 11 AF points to the 5D's 9, and shoots faster has me pretty much sold at this point. Just wondering if anyone else had picked it up.

nice pic Darth...I've been thinking of getting the 17-40 for a while now but I might have to wait till summer...how long have you owned your 5D ?
