someone should find that website where the writers for AWE and the pirates films explain that when he does come back, he actually stays with liz. i know its out there somewhere....ppl on imdb were talking about it after the film came out.

as for bootstrap, he obviously chose to stay on the dutchman. whether he was still the undead or not, i dont know, but it seems to me that he has got to still be the undead to sail with the dutchman.

what im curious is, how exactly DOES one ferry souls to the afterlife? kinda makes you wonder. i still wish pintel and regatti thrw that cannonball on the ghosts though.

but wait, one day liz will die, and will has to be the on the dutchman for eternity. what happens when she dies? will he get to join her or make someone else stab his heart? maybe he would get pissed and turn into a davy jones type guy.

I know there was originally a line in the movie indicating that, but they took it out so I've always assumed that means they decided not to let him off after 10 years.

Honestly, I know people dislike him, but if we're going to have Jack and Barbossa back, I'd rather like to see Will and the Dutchman for a small scene. Nothing big, just a large cameo.

I'd much rather this one change in tone a bit to a stand alone tale like the first one without call backs of DMC or AWE. Maybe an after credits throw away scene for Will or such as a wink.

We all know how HT likes to leave us hanging on a cliff though. :lol

I'd love for them to come through, I'm just not hopeful when it comes to them and POTC, between the inaccurracies of the first Jack and the character choices in the line, the POTC stuff has always felt like it didn't get their best effort.

I'm hoping that'll change with PotC 4.

They have improved so much since then... here's hoping we get a DX Jack, Penelope's character, Blackbeard and Barbossa.

They were on the right track. I will give them that they really pushed things with Davy Jones, but he was the finale, it's like a fireworks show where you get the ok stuff and then they close with a big bang, but in other HT lines, it's like each figure is a big bang. I'm hoping for lots out of HT for POTC with the new film. For starters, DX Jack Sparrow and a Barbossa figure, after that, can't say until I see the new movie, I may not care for Blackbeard's portrayal or design nor Cruz's character, can't say yet, Jack and Barbossa are the only confirmed characters in POTC 4 that I want figures of for sure, and I wouldn't mind them going backwards and doing more from the trilogy, maybe if figures from the 4th do well enough, they'll want to make more money and go to the older films for more figures to make.

As far as returning characters in 4, I hope Gibbs, Marty, Pintell and Rigetti are back, really enjoy those guys, Cardon would be nice too, and Cardon's parrot :lol

Yeah but what I don't get is how do they get on the crew in the first place, in DMC they're enlisted through an ultimatum, but that's when Davy is corrupt and has corruped the Dutchmen's purpose, I just wonder how the crew is selected under normal circumstances. The Dutchmen and Calypso mythologies could probably take 3-4 movies really show and explain them, or at least some lengthy exposition scene to explain them more than the faster paced telling got into.

Maybe, since Will isn't corrupted like Davy Jones he just asks souls that travel in the little boats like Elizabeth's father to join the crew if they look able enough. :huh
They are already dead, but I see no reason why that wouldn't work... I imagine Will has some supernatural powers of his own now that he's captain of the Dutchman and lives forever...

I've read something about this and it was initially to be explained in AWE that Will would have to be captain of the Dutchman for 10 years and then he'd be free.
But that scene was cut from the final movie and now the story is that he has to be captain forever, which IMO is the better of those two choices because it's more of a sacrifice.

I'm hoping that'll change with PotC 4.

I'd probably buy a DX Jack in a heartbeat! :rock
Barbossa would be an awesome figure too... I hope the designs of those two stay largely the same as in the previous films without too much change to their costumes.

Mr. Cotton actually. Mackenzie Crook already confirmed he wasn't asked back to play Ragetti and that he doesn't want to come back either. No mention on Pintel though.

I thought it was hilarious that the casting call went out specifically banning any extras with boob jobs. :lol
