I hope this is epic just so I can buy that Blackbeard poster, but why is his beard on fire? :lol

Awesome that he's holding Jack's skull.

Awesome that he's holding Jack's skull.

Because it is reported that the real Blackbeard wore lit fuses in his beard and under his hat to frighten his enemies! :lecture :)

I love these posters! The Blackbeard one is my favourite! I hope I'll be able to pick that up! :rock

My mom is a big genealogy nut and through her research has found some of our distant relatives can be traced back to the same family of Edward Teach aka Blackbeard. Since finding this out from here I have been a total nut for all things Blackbeard. THAT POSTER IS FRIGGIN AWESOME. Do want.

I wonder if there's story significance to him holding Jack's skull.

When was it Ian McShane's career picked up/boomed? He was pretty stagnant after the tv series Lovejoy. I use to watch that a lot.

I seem to recall seeing him in more films after, We Are Marshall. Quite enjoyed that as well. Yet here he is in a big film. I never could take to him. Yet I don't know why. I always thought he was quite a cold hard to work out guy. Kind of lifeless. Not sure what it was.

Deadwood, Sexy Beast, 44 Inch Chest, and Death Race, plus he did VO work in Kung Fu Panda, Shrek 3, Golden Compass, Coraline etc. But he's particularly badass on Deadwood and in Sexy Beast so if you have any doubt in his abilities to rock as Blackbeard, watch those.

That Blackbeard poster is very awesome. I love that they put the lit fuses in his beard too.

I doubt there is any story significance to him holding Jack's skull. I think it's just something to show he's going to be a villain and a bigger threat than Barbossa. I could totally be wrong.

The dangly beads on Jack's skull are on the wrong side.

If they wanted to put them on the correct side, I don't know why they didn't just put Blackbeard on the left side of the image. I don't like it when graphic designers flip things just to make it flow better, then you screw up continuity. There's some infamous IKEA picture where the writing on the books is backwards because they flipped the image to make it work on the catalog page.
