I'm pretty sure that's Jack fighting Blackbeard.

I think that is Blackbeard fighting with Jack, although I wouldn't mind a Jack vs. Jack scene. :lol

I assumed that too at first and decided to go frame-by-frame and it sure looks like Capt Jack to me -- same boots, same sash, etc. And way too thin for Blackbeard.

I'd prefer it to be Blackbeard -- kind of tired with the whole multi-Jack stuff.

Could be. I wasn't able to see it closely enough to tell for sure. If they do keep up with the multi Jacks I hope it is well handled because for most people this movie needs to distance itself from the last one as much as possible.

I took a still and brightened it, it's either another Jack or someone dressed very similarly, not Blackbeard though.

I'm wondering if maybe it's like an evil Jack, not something in his mind but a real person he has to fight, somehow brought about by the fountain or what's happening with the pearl.

Hopefully it's a small thing, Jack vs. Jack isn't as exciting as Jack vs. Barbossa or Jones or Blackbeard.

Maybe a mental delusion brought on by the fountain or something. Doesn't some mermaid lore have them with psychic abilities?

I wouldn't be surprised if Jack still sees multiple Jacks. I mean there wasn't anything in AWE to suggest they would stop. Jack's brain just got fried while in the Locker :dunno

That just gives us a reason to get multiple HT Jack figures :rock

I'm fine with more multiple Jacks. Doesn't bother me at all.

They can distance themselves from the past movies, but they shouldn't forget them entirely.

Yes, there's a different director here, but I want it to have the same feel as if it's in the same universe and not feel different.

By that I mean stand on it's own as part of that universe, not have a different filmmaking style.

Based on the trailers and knowing Zimmer is returning for the score, I think this movie should blend with the rest just fine.

I'm looking forward to it. Though Curse is pretty much the only score I enjoy from start to finish, I enjoy music from all of the movies. I'm sure the standard Jack intro theme will be in there somewhere, I hope they keep it going, I like that music and it makes his reveals more fun.

Unfortunately, the best music, the entirity of the end fights, from Curse and AWE aren't on the CDs. I'd love for them to get greedy and release complete scores like LOTR.

:goodpost:

So much good music missing out from both of those. I think COTBP covered a good portion as no cues really come to mind that are missing but the list is limitless for DMC and AWE. I got ahold of the treasure collection and it filled the void a bit but a majority of those tracks weren't even in the film, kind of like remixes.

Yeah, there was some cool stuff in that disc, I like the piano bare bones Jack theme in particular.

The real killer for me is the fight music, both the 1st and 3rd films had great fights and the music behind them was amazing, but neither score has the complete music from them, just bits, nice bits, but there's plenty of good stuff missing. Most of the music from Davy and Jack dueling is absent which sucks. Half of why I like the maelstrom battle is the music from the start to the finish just rocked.

I hate that I can't get the Hoist the Colors suite. I love that piece of music and I get goosebumps every time I walk by the ride at Disney World and it is playing.

That might be why you can't get it.

I know there are things Disney keeps strictly to the park, just to keep the experience relatively exclusive.

Actually I'm doubting myself now, I don't think it's the latter part of Hoist the Colours that I hear at the park. It's another slower version of "He's a Pirate" and then of course "He's a Pirate" plays pretty frequently too.

:lol

Me too. To bring them back just because they were in the previous ones doesn't make much sense. I wouldn't be opposed to a small cameo by Will as captain of the Dutchman, but only if it made sense and wasn't a cameo for the sake of a cameo.

As for Elizabeth...she's pregnant, what the hell would she be doing? Although I could see a funny scene where she and Jack crosses paths and he rears back with that "Oh gross" face and says, "Elizabeth, you've let yourself go..."

Cameos by both characters would be good but, like you said, only if they made sense.

The scene you described between Elizabeth and Jack would/could be funny! :lol

I've only been there once, and it was all the way back in 2005. I need to go back. It was around Halloween, the crowds were sparse, and the whole atmosphere was positive the likes of which no place else seems to be.
