yeah. One of mine too. He really is a nicely done figure. IMO he has the best Davy likeness out of all the other Davy sculpts I've seen from other companies.

I really like the look of the orginal Captain Jack. I did initial research and finding him is almost impossible (least at a reasonable cost).

I will wait until HT makes figs for Pirates 4 before landing a Captain Jack.

It's funny how we all assume hot toys is going to make P4 figures. I guess we feel we know because of how awesome hot toys is!!! I dream at night of my DX capt Jack sparrow. What if it never comes true??

I expect a DX Jack Sparrow, I'm not counting on POTC 4 figures. However, I think it would be a safe assumption, they've already done POTC figures, would make sense for them to make more with a new movie, maybe with some luck, they might do like Terminator and do figures from the current film first and if they get enough of a following with those, go back to the older ones, get new Elizabeth or Will.

I think Sparrow's popularity would make a DX of him a safe bet, he'd greatly benefit from PERS, and Sparrow alone has selling power even if selling other figures from the POTC films might not be as successful.

I agree. I am confident HT will either make a Dx Captain Jack or pick up the POTC 4 licence (perhaps both) because the series was popular worldwide.

Assuming I am correct that new figures will be produced make me hesitant to purchase the original at ebay prices. If new product emerges then I overpaid for the orginal. Besides a new Jack Sparrow with today's sculpting techniques may be greater than original Jack Sparrow. So unless an incredible deal falls my way, I will wait it out.

Especially since if they do a new Jack, it should be vastly superior, more accurrate clothes, better sculpt, improved paint apps on the face.

After John Connor, I'd love to see a new Jack with actual dirt paint on his face instead of just doing his whole skintone darker. Jack's skin is a mix of dirt, sweat and tan, but the early HT figures were just a dark skin tone. Make his skin lighter and with a proper mix of dirt to add the darker look and it should look fantastic.

Thus the reluctance to buy the old Jack but it is a gamble either way.

I read somewhere in the boards the HT Pres. said the next Dlx will appear soon and everyone will be pleased. I believe it will be Sparrow so fingers are crossed as I have a bare detolf shelf awaiting his arrival.

Yes, DX04 is supposed to be unveiled in some capacity in the next couple months.

Glad I wasn't imagining it. I think Dlx 4 will be:

1. Jack Sparrow
2. Rambo (perhaps Rocky)
3. Terminator 2 (T-800 battle damage)
4. Wolverine

The last two highly unlikely as one figure not even released yet the other released not long ago.
