Wow, that was a good once, you actually had me fooled at first, by the time I finished processing your turnaround from yesterday, I saw the kidding part. I really don't care too much about Davy's scale, sure I'd like it better, but since he's not just a basic human and is going to be a wonder to absorb all that's going on in his design, it's easily overlooked. I can't wait to check him out.

WG, is Jack in addition for you or did you sell of your V1?

WG, is Jack in addition for you or did you sell of your V1?

No, got Jack V2 coming with Davy, and I still have Jack V1. Gotta have the hat and coat -- Jack makes such an issue out of his "affects".

I figure I'll try to remove the leg pegs on V2 Jack, and if that works, I'll build Smilin' Jack to go with Davy -- hopefully height issue solved a bit -- then convert my original Jack into Cannibal Jack. The Jack v1 sculpt will be set aside for now. This is assuming I like Smilin' Jack better than V1.

I took me a couple hours to get V1 Jack futzed just right -- now I gotta disassemble him and do it again, twice. Ugh. It's that bloody belt/sash/bits that really takes the time; and getting the coat on. But the new scabbard looks longer so it should all work better on the new Jack, plus the height adjustment will help a bit.

Sorry, Captain. Don't axe me. I held on as long as I could for LOTR -- 9 months I believe it's been for these Hobbits (and at any point therein I could have easily afforded them). But I just can't afford so much right now. Hobbits are available still. I hope to get them a few months from now, maybe closer to Gandalf's arrival.

But I just can't afford so much right now. Hobbits are available still. I hope to get them a few months from now, maybe closer to Gandalf's arrival.

Bugger, it turns out my "Davy shipped" notice was in error (I actually FINALLY got Leon Kennedy), so now I have to wait and look at you guys' pictures... did get my loose Jack Sparrow hat and coat in though for the Cannibal Jack figure (I'll be displaying him with the smiling face; picked up an extra Jack neck so I could enjoy the cannibal head sitting on the shelf as well without having to spring for two figures)..

Ya, Jack is particular about his gear "do not lose these" "Commodore Norrington, my affects please...and my hat!" and of course the funny part of DMC "Jack's hat, bring her about." "NO!!! Leave it....run." "What port?" "I didn't say port, I said land, any land."

I'm taking a similar approach as you. Since I'll have 2 Jacks, I'm going to try Chase's leg fix on one so if I'm unhappy or mess up, I still have the body to fall back on. Sure the ideal is to have 2 bodies so on can be Jack and one Cannibal, but I still like the comfort of having one good figure if I mess up the other. I'm also thinking of cutting the wrist on Jack's right hand so that his wrapping goes on the figure arm but his hand will be articulated, that way I can do that classic gun on the shoulder pose from Curse

That's a good idea. Please post pics when and if you do that. I'll take a look myself.

Of course. I looked at it on V1 already, but the lack of loose Jack parts on eBay when I was looking had me nervous to try. You can see inside the hand that there is a socket, it's meant for you to snap the wrist peg in even though on my Jack it doens't go that far on the arm, so if I cut it, I think it'll work, and with 2 Jacks, again I have the luxury of being covered should the worst happen.

Once you cut it, you should heat the "rag" up so you can push it down on the arm far enough for it not to interfer with the joint.

Definitely. I may also opt, even though it wouldn't be screen accurrate, to just get some real black cloth. Les gave me the idea when I talked to him about wanting to cut the hand to get articulation, only thing is Jack's wrapping has the colored stripes in it, not just the black, and I'll never find anything like that, but plenty of black cloth around. We'll see. That's my one gripe with HT Sparrow over all things. If they'd only made it with the wrapping as a loose piece on his forearm and a standard right hand, he'd have so many more pose options.

Same thing just happened to me. Since the Exclusive LotR stuff has been fairly easy to get on later on I felt I would be OK temporarly cancelling the Hobbits. They got sacrificed because of the following comming up:

-Shaun and Ed
-SDCC Exclusives
-ANH Han
-Dead Babysitter
-Hot Toys Dark Knight!

Shaun and Ed may be harder to get afterwards since they exclusive is so low, so they are keepers for now.

But Davy is also coming, but since he is a B-day gift, I don't have to pay for him
