The single player is online. But like for instance, I stopped playing Diablo III so I let my brother use my account in Ohio, so they log in it and can play but I still have it installed so as long as they're not logged in on my account I could play.

Gotcha. But if you sold him the game and he wanted to create a new account or use it on his account he couldn't have because your game/key is bound to your account. So in essence they are stopping people from buying used games. At least that the way I understood it.

Sony is paying close attention to the backlash that the XBOX One is getting... supposedly this is actually working, I hope they do the right thing in the end. :)

Which is exactly what they should be doing.

1) Find out what the competition is lacking in their offerings and bring what they are lacking to the table.
2) Pay attention to consumer feedback. What do the majority like or more importantly what do the majority DISLIKE about it and steer clear of that.
3) Design your product based on what the people buying it want.

It's pretty simple to me. If Microsoft doesn't overhaul and completely change their plan for the XBOX ONE, Sony is going to destroy them. The internet is abound with tons of feedback regarding people already backing Sony rather than Microsoft because of Microsoft's user unfriendly console reveal.

I am a multi console kinda guy. I have the big three (360, PS3 and Wii U). I currently buy games for the 360 when they are cross platform. I can easily see me going full on Sony and Nintendo and likely not get a XBOX ONE at all.

me as well, I got both PS3 & Xbox360, but this time Sony All the way, till maybe Xbox One Price Drop .. not liking the reveal of it.. but I may change my mind depending on the games lineup that they'll reveal at E3

--well, they aren't ending the sale of used games, they're just trying to redistribute the money made off them, it might not effect users in any way.

And unless Microsoft changes their mind about it, it's unlikely Sony will do anything different.

Remember how EA recently announced they were ending online passes? That's because with the new used game deal they don't need their own system. I doubt they'd do that if only Microsoft were setting that up.

Round 1 goes to Sony. Both companies played to the weaknesses of their current gen consoles. The 360 was more popular than the PS3 due to larger availibility of game titles. The PS3 was the console "that does everything" as their ads stated heavy with entertanment features.

So Sony opens with on a focus on games for the PS4. I have no doubt that Sony will keep all the entertainment features of the PS3. It's mostly software, so keep it feature rich. They still have E3 and the rest of the year to announce non-gaming features.

Microsoft starts on the entertainment features that the Xbox 360 was weak on. The 360 had not digital hi def on release and hdd were not standard. Microsoft's misstep was that their focus audience for the Xbox One announcement was the core gamers who are the ones who will be the early adopters, and they were shunned. Microsoft could have had a 10 to 15 minute gaming teaser leading to E3.

So Round 2 is E3. Will we see a PS4 console? Will we get more info on each console's hardware? What entertainment features will Sony announce? And what console-exclusive game announcements will we get? How much focus will Microsoft be on games.

I had an original Xbox and missed out on the PS2. So I was an early adopter on the PS3 due to it's features and bluray. I later bought two Slims and did get a 360. But Microsoft's nickel and diming with Xbox Live and horrible fan & dvd drive noise plus lack of hi def movie playback kept me buying games for my PS3. I'm happy with my PS3 and will most likely get a PS4.

But with the procesing power possibly being almost the same between these next gen consoles, the ultimate winner will be differentiated by their hardware uniqueness, software functionality features, consumer friendliness and exclusive content.

Sony will go exactly the same way as Microsoft when it comes to used games. There probably already got an agreement together on it, I can't imagine one do it & the other not because of a backlash. I'm definitely going to get the Xbox One 1st but I will get a Ps4 but not until after Christmas. I must admit I very rarely buy used games so that isn't no big deal to me.

@jedi IMO the 360 was much better to the Ps3 when it came to software & Live but you had to pay for that & I know some people hated that.

I preferred the Ps3 for graphics though. I guess you can compare the 2 all day but I think there pretty even at the end of the day both have there pro's & cons.

I'm going to get the Xbox 1st because of COD & FIFA deals

EA is the the main root of the used game fiasco is my guess. Sony will have no choice but to follow Microsoft's used game process if EA is the main culprit behind it.

I think the people that are selling used games should be the ones who have to pay instead of passing it to the consumer. Consumers are just trying to get a good deal where Gamestop is trying to figure out a way to sell for pure profit.

Coming to a decision now is foolhardy.
