I was a PS gal...had the first one and 2 and then 3. It was about 6 years ago I got my first 360 and will admit I ended up playing more games on the 360 than I did the PS3...but that was mainly because I was doing MP then, which I haven't done in quite awhile. My first gen PS3 still runs like a champ - zero problems (and I have the 20 GB version ) I also use it to play my bluray movies. Looks like I'm coming full circle and will be back to just PS. No more XBox for me - too many things I really do not like about the new system that even if they do get some great exclusives, I just am not interested.
Remember how heavy and loud the 1st PS3 fat was though.
Not sure where to post my initial thoughts since there's two threads discussing XBox1 vs PS4 so i'll do it here. Now in fairness I will admit that I didn't really go through both threads in detail because they were pretty long and I really just don't care that much. lol
- There seems to be a lot more Playstation fanboys than XBox fanboys that require gratification that their console is better than the other console.
- I went to IGN and looked at the comparison chart and I don't really see all that much difference in the specs but maybe it's just me.
- I don't really buy used games and I always install the game on my hard drive if I can so that's a non-issue, but I'm not as hard core and don't play as many games as a lot of you guys.
- I don't want a freaking entertainment system, I just want a game console FFS!
and finally regarding the used game issue. I don't think a lot of you are considering the developers angle on this. Sure the user would prefer to buy a used game and just pop it in and play it but will the ones making the games favor the XBox because it will generate more revenue for them because they don't make anything on a used game. Plus, isn't the PC Gaming sector already doing this?
But it screws places like Gamefly over, not to mention, say you have multiple Xbox One's in your household and only one copy of the game. Gotta essentially pay twice for one game just to use it on both consoles.
No, it won't be backwards compatible.
BTW--PS4 has a Kinect-like camera too
**** the new Xbox, it will be another crashing hunk of **** like the last one.
Oh, and it'll be so much worse than the Kinect too, have fun!
Xbox was the biggest dissapointment " hey guess what gamers we have a new thing it's called tv now you watch as I grab thin air which takes more effort than a tv remote wallah see what I did I grabbed an imaginary picture and oooooo it went full screen" also this is a great gaming console but sadly we forgot too bring our games!
They made an official statement saying that there would be a fee if you wanted to play your game on another Xbox good bye Microsoft you've just dug your own grave!
I'm on the PS4 it looks better and sounds better!
You never know, might be on par. But either way, it's not a function I will utilize regardless.

As long as the PS4 Eye is not mandatory for me to use my PS4 (like Kinnect will be with the XBox1) I really could care less. This type of feature is not something I am interested in nor do I want to be forced to use.
I hear ya. I'd rather play games with a controller and not have to use the Force.
No, actually you can install your games on multiple PC's, but if it's online you just can't play them at the same time. So I can install Diablo on two computers, but if it's loaded and I'm logged in on one, it won't let me log in on the other
