Im pre ordering today. I keep my 360 until launch then throw it on ebay.
Im thinking 3 games for launch. Bf4, Watchdogs and probably fifa.

Thats if bf4 makes launch ?

Traded in my first gen 360, some games, hard drive, memory cards, controllers and got $150 towards the PS4. I'll trade in my PS3 and those games once it gets closer to launch date and hopefully it will be fully paid for.

Tomorrow is the gamestop deadline for 30% ontop of trade in for PS4.

I'll be trading in my original fat PS3 and 360.

So no gaming until 12/31/13. :horror

I hope you're joking. Not to mention those 30 % promos are what, usually year round. You can put it towards a game, and just move it over towards your ps 4.

Why would he be joking? The TIV for these two consoles are rather high right now compared to what you would get on Ebay. I traded in both my consoles and a few old old games and I now have a completely paid for PS4 and two games pre ordered and renewed my PUR. If you are going to trade in your consoles the time is to do it now. Otherwise the TIV are going to tank fast.

Well, just got back from Gamestop, the manager had to call another store to confirm if the trade in promotion didn't end yesterday which she thought it did.

I traded in
PS3 60gb Fat
2 controllers
Arkham Asylum
Injustice God Amongst Us

Got $211.90 to put towards the PS4.

I'm content.

I'm just going to hold onto my 360 for BF3 and the BF4 beta then when PS4 arrives i'll trade it in for something.

Ive been trying to read on google the best i could for the last 30 minutes or so before i asked here. But i really couldnt find anything, and i didnt want to continue to search if there was no answer.

Are our PSN accounts going to be able to be carried over from ps3 to ps4, and if thats so does it mean we will be able to go in to our account history and re-download our previous online purchases to our new console?

Thats kind of a big seller to me. Ive got a Hard drive full of games on my ps3 and if i can put them on to a new system ill upgrade. if i cant i wont get rid of the ps3

Ahh man sucks. i lvoe my ps3 and ive got so much use out of it. But if i could sell the hardware towards the new console id of done that. Oh well.

I still don't no why you guys are getting rid of your old systems and excited for the first batch of the new Gen consoles?

I would never trust the first batch. Safer to just wait a little and avoid harware problems, which l am sure will happen to some degree.

I would at least wait until the second batch comes out, just to be on the safer side.

Some of us don't play the consoles any more like me. I haven't actually sat down and played a new game on my ps3 or 360 since Ni No Kuni. I have a PC, Wii U and 3ds to hold me over till october/Nov.

I have high confidence in the new consoles being reliable. They aren't running super high spec component so it should be easier to keep running, and for instance the Xbox One is quite large which should give it a good amount of cooling.

For me, I only have 2 games for my PS3 so I won't have any use for it when the PS4 comes out. I'll probably keep my Xbox 360 since I doubt it'll be worth much on trade-in

:exactly:

I haven't touched my PS3 in years, only played BF3 on 360.

I fully dont intend to get a first one or two batch of the ps4 atleast but id like to know i could redeem some money from my ps3 if it came to it

I could never flip my fat PS3, seeing how backwards compatibility came and went with the original model. I'll probably wait until February or so to pick one up.

I'm getting a launch unit and honestly, I don't see a problem with it... by the time it breaks down, I'll have the money to get it fixed or replaced anyways. :wink1:

I intend to keep my slim PS3 (and its games and warranty) until I start to see Gaikai get fleshed out more. At which point, if I decide it's no longer necessary, I'll still probably keep it. Seriously, I never knew how much I appreciated my PS2 until my fat PS3 broke down on me.
