Nah, this is more of the classic spidey pose that people long for in 1/4 scale.

While I still love the original PF, this is CLASSIC Spidey and would look great as a 1/4 Comiquette.

Awesome PF pose! Sweet base too! Only thing I'd pike to see is a more "city/New York" theme base. I'm sure the gargoyle does pertain to city, but something more obvious I love the base for the current PF

my question is why they never made any maquette's based off of the movie version spidey , just smaller statues, but this would be a great pose for another spidey piece

SS already messed up Spidey with the last PF. Man did that Spidey PF look bad. Rock this as a comiquette and I would just throw $$$ at SS. No PF's on this one please. Give us comiquette collectors a classic Spidey statue. We are long overdue.

i'm confused, though the art is truely great looking and of course i for one would always welcome anything spidey related.

I'm sorry, but I'm with Quad on this one. While the pose isn't identical to the PF, a similar group of people will be criticizing this piece because of the pose.

yeah that's all i was pointing out, that this pose would still get the poopy pose label sooner or later. for myself i would get both, or should i say this one, since i already have the original poopy versions

unfortunately, even though ssc could pump out as much spidey related stuff they wanted to and i'm sure it would all sell quite well. i can't see them making another spidey piece for quite sometime.
maybe we might get something movie related when #4 and #5 movies come out.

You are 100% correct. I love the PF, so I don't have a problem with the pose, but I'm having trouble seeing how this pose is that much different than the PF. I realize the differences are there, but I don't see an extreme change in pose. (They're both hunched over.)

Would make a great comiquette! And yes the search for a good spiderman would be over, im still trying to find a decent one, my taste leans over more towards a Mcfarlane type spiderman as oppose to any classic versions, however there is one statue that does seemingly resemble that pose, and thats the romita milestones spidey crouched over on the flagpole, theres 2 versions, regular edition (with mask) which seems to be ridiculously hard to find, even more so for a decent price, and secondly the exclusive (without mask) which for some reason is a lot easier to find and goes for pretty much less then half what people ask for the regular version......i dont get it......

This pose looks nothing and I mean nothing like the PF produced. He is in a completely different position. The PF is standing and looking upwards. This one is is crouched and about to crawl downwards.

As a Spidey fan I have many Spidey sculpts of all scales including the Spidey 1:1 by Mike Hill and the PF by Sideshow. And while I love them all none of them stand out as definitive Spider-man like the Captain American PF, The Thor PF, Hulk PF and most recently Ironman Classic Comiquette.

I hope Sideshow produce this sculp.
