I am assuming Sideshow or the factory f-ed up. I think the regulars are all going to get the three heads. You might wonder....how do you know that? Well, it looks like Sideshow tried to cover their *** on the exclusive Ivy page. They now include a pic of just the one open-mouthed head on the main pic. I am pretty sure that wasn't there before. BUT, what they did miss is that the description for the exlcusive still says "Full-bloomed' man-eating plants, for alternate display."

I think Sideshow has some explaining to do.

Exclusives are an early incentive for early orders. For customers that jump on board right away and pay an NRD. I know that some people paid the NRD when ordering the regular, but I doubt those were initial orders.

This kind of reminds me of how they dealt with the Rogue PF. They changed all their photos on the site to the production piece. Thinking they could get away with the horribly painted portraits.

I really didn't say that they messed up on the EX. The factory could have, somehow, been under the impression that the regular had three portraits. OR, the factory made an abundance of the third portrait and SS just had them include it with the regulars. Anything could have happened. Which agrees with your last comment....There is obviously no communication.

I have seen some lame EX's, the extra man eating plant is still better than punishers trench knife.

Yea for regular buyers its awesome getting 3 plants, If i knew before hand the regular comes with three I might have passed on the ex as the regular would have atleast come with one of the bigger heads and could have bought a regular locally and saved myself well over $100 on shipping and duty, still false advertising on ss part which they should do something about!

I've seen some exclusives that were a hell of a lot worse than one man eating plant (like the Blackbeard boarding axe) but as long as the base says /1500 does it really matter if there are two plants or one? People will still want it more in the long run so your "value" is safe.

I think we all feel mixed on it but what's done is done. Im Going to stop discussing this as the statue seems to have come out great and I want to enjoy it and I don't want to drag ppl down about this.

To reg buyers, congrats.

To EX, buyers, reg or fail.

Prints are the best. Would of really loved one of Ivy, the box makes that more so.

The ex should have been two plants (like we were lead to believe), but come with stems so we could have used all 4 plants. Now that would have made the ex stand out a hell lot more, to the regular version.

Funny thing is everyone is complaining but no one knows what happened. For all everyone knows there may have been a mistake and the third plant head was included in some of the regulars maybe not all. Kinda like when they accidentally made the panels in Sandman #18 blue Or it could be that what everyone is thinking. Either way, you're going to have to wait until Monday to find out.

I doubt that's going to stop the speculation from running rampant though.

The way I see it, only those who bought the EX at inflated prices off the Bay will be insanely pissed. But this is outside SS's purview (they only care if retailers sold newly released pieces at severe discounts), and they would probably not give a hoot, as usual. Hey, having 3 heads incentivizes purchases now, so why would SS put a stop to that, or even issue an apology?

Nothing has been confirmed and no one ever said the exclusive and the regular were the exact same thing. Where do you come up with this stuff??

lol the last ivy ex sold for $580 yesterday, that person may be pissed lol but once again only a few regs were maybe through the third head, we will have to wait and see till more statues arrive
