OK, good to know. My bad is not being chat/txt literate, I have no use for it. But if you will put a truncated conversation in a public forum, labelling another poster a simpleton for liking comics, and without emoticons to indicate a joke, you can't seriously be surpised when someone reacts.

IMO, that OUGHT to be the sort of thing that's discussed here... because you have a community with all the odd nuggets of information that aren't readily available; directors' comments, stuff from comic and novel adaptations, pieces from magazine articles of a decade ago, people who've watched the films 20+ times and know all the lines. Yes, in 'real' terms it's ephemeral, but it's still of interest to some people, like discussing the performance of football teams.

Unfortunately, what this thread has highlighted is that facet of human nature where individuals bash each other simply because they like different things (a pet hate of mine, and why I overreacted to slimeyslugger). I think that's what Devil_666 was trying to say; this is a hobby board, and the question "who cares" has no place on it.

Ok, argue if you all can bring evidence to the table but what evidence can you all possibly dig up about a craft that had about 2 seconds screen time and make a thread with a crap load of pages saying how its this and how its not this its that... Id expect a thread like this with this many opinions to be about Alien biology or something with a little but more weight behind it.
