I disagree. Movies or bust. Anything in comic book Yautja crapo world I disregard.

If you disregard the written material, then you can't respond to this poll because you're clueless. The answer to the poll's question is not contained within the movies. It's like pretending you know what causes a volcano to erupt simply because you've seen it on youtube but haven't actually seen any material explaining what you just saw.

And hey, anyone can enjoy and love the movies and the Predator genre, but don't start arguing about the ships and worlds and other crap outside of the movies unless you've read the books and comics because you'll just be blowing smoke out your ass at that point :lol

we are not arguing about science or anything that would require info from non-canon comic books.

we saw the 3 crafts in question in the movies and so that is what we are discussing....some are taking it further than others though :monkey3

Yes but they are in no way identified in the movie or extra movie materials, so you can not confirm who is right in this argument whatsoever unless you look at the sources that actually indentify what these ships are :) The poll may show what most people think, but both answers are in fact wrong lol! You needed a C) None of the Above

the term 'mothership' is not exclusive to the avp world

the term 'scout ship' is not exclusive to the avp world

the term 'pod' is not exclusive to the avp world

and since we saw each of those things in different situations in the different movies we can form a credible opinion.

If you say so :lol :horse

Yeah, the books are better...however the comic Alien comics are pretty great. Aside from a few, they are great because they dont ^^^^ with Canon.

And dont call me clueless because I dont take fake non canon things as canon.

I'm not a big Star Wars fan (so maybe someone who is can confirm/deny this) but I'm fairly certain since George Lucas is the creator and has a strangle hold on everything relating to that franchise, that EVERYTHING relating to Star Wars (Comics, Novels, Cartoons, CGI Movies, Videogames, etc.) has to be 100% cannon and HAS TO fit within the pre-existing Star Wars universe in order for it to get the green light and approval from George. Unless it's a "Elseworlds"/one shot crossover type of thing.

Predator and Alien don't really have that type of restriciton/QC. So in that sense other than the actual movies everything else isn't really cannon. Again, I don't read the comics/novels (maybe someone like AdamBomb could confirm this) but don't they contradict what AVP and AVP:R laid out? I remember reading online about the Predator "homeworld" and it was completely different than the one depicted in AVP:R. More jungle-like as opposed to a barren, lava filled planet. iunno..

You're right.

Also, they had a story they did right after Aliens with Hicks and Newt and Ripley fighting Aliens on earth...after Alien 3 came out, they changed their names to Billy and Wilks.

But a lot of that stuff is so off the wall and silly that I just cant take it as canon. Plus, Fox didnt say any EU stuff is canon like Lucas said....and the AvP films....well AvP can be argued, but AvP-R totally ^^^^s up the entire series....Aliens have never been on earth....it just doesnt make sense. Plus, the company didnt know about the Alien anyway until AFTER Alien...not before. Bah.

EU = Not Canon. Movies = Canon.

yep, i love to read. unlike u my retarded friend i stay away from the comics the story is too heavily cut up. i read the books so enjoy your bright pictures

Again, my flabber is gasted...

We're on a forum debating Predator, hardly the most intellectual of movies, and you're downing on someone for reading comics?

At least that requires literacy; any braindead moron can watch a film :).
