But can you pay through PayPal, with that Discover card as your preferred method of payment? Or would you still get hit with fees like that.

I'm not familiar with that, are you allowed to link a credit card to Paypal that way?

Oh I just read that there is a still a fee that Paypal charges you for purchasing w/ a card through them I think.

Usually there's no additional fees if you're making the purchase.

Just link your card to PayPal and that's it.

Anyway the sale as of a few minutes ago is officially over. Whether the website correctly switches back to retail prices is another matter.

Oh darn, I thought it ended later tonight, haha. I messaged Paypal about it in hopes they'd reply back later today but I guess I'll save it for a future order if so. I googled about the fees and they said there were some so I didn't want to risk it, but if not, I'll be ordering via Discover through Paypal next time to avoid the foreign transaction fees. They begin to add up when the order amount gets larger.

Got BvS Armored Batman Black Chrome from Pop for $240 shipped with the sale. Can't get much better then that

When did popcultcha start getting really expensive? They used to have good US prices.

I noticed the same thing. I've got a good amount of rewards stored up with them but it barely brings the price down to just above average retail when I use them now. Such a shame.

I noticed that too. Fortunately, a couple of weeks ago, I was able to pick up an already discounted Hot Toys "Jor-El" figure and utilized my rewards on top of the sale price, to get an amazing deal.

Hopefully they will have another big sale during the Spooktacular time frame.

One thing to keep in mind is that the reward points or "Pennies" are based on the Aussie dollar. So if it is low, compared to the US dollar, the pennies are worth less. It's a catch-22. I had about $50 dollars in rewards but the currency conversion ended up giving it a value of close to $39 US dollars, if not mistaken.

The Australian dollar is a bit stronger than it was in the past. There are still good deals when they do their 20% off sales, which are usually good on everything.

toyarena.com currently has mark 47 for $309, hot toys r2 for $180, k-2s0 for $200....maybe other stuff.
