Just a thought, nanjin, could you post pics of a full figure holding the accessories? I can't tell about the phaser size just from the hand photo. it looks a bit small to me but that may just be the picture.

Here is a link to pics of the Scifimetropolis sculpts.

https://www.joyandtomstudios.com/portraits1.html

Clicking on each icon will take you to more pics. They also did a Yvonne Craig Orion Slave Girl that isn't on their site yet. There were only a few copies of each head sold to try and recover the cost of having the prototypes sculpted. The sculptors were working on accessories (including the phaser rifle) and at least four more heads when the project was put on hold because they couldn't get the licensing. It is a real shame as this had the potential to be the best line of Star Trek figures ever. The sculptor is not yet satisfied with the Shatner and hoped to rework it if it went into production. I don't see anybody topping their Spock.

Here, again, are the SFM sculpts:

Bear in mind these pics really don't do them justice. When I first held McCoy in my hand I felt like a giant who had beheaded a 1:6 man. I have various types of Trek heads, but I don't see anyone topping these.

Kirk could use work as was mentioned, but the others are quite nice. Those bodies they are on in the last picture are atrocious though. ;)

The bodies were just quick throw togethers to get the heads mounted on something for presentation. They were to be swapped out on the actual figures. Kirk is actually quite good, but it's definitely a younger Kirk than we are used to seeing.

Yeah, the picts dont do the sculpts justice.
Cant wait to ditch these uniforms and bodies and upgrade.
Im pretty happy with Kirk and glad that they went with the season 1 look.

Those are great, it’s a shame they didn’t go into production.

The problem with Kirk is his face is Just a tad too long, but more than it doesn’t have the Kirkness to the sculpt, the swagger, or the “yea, I’m the captain baby.” Look that Shatner always had.

Damn those sculpts are amazing! Kirk could use a little work but Checkov, Spock and McCoy are pretty much perfect! I might have to look for those sculpts.

Checkov? Oh, I think you mean Mr. Scott

This thread would be sooooo much better if we had any updates from Chris.
I always thought I would have the head sculpts and would have to wait for the clothes and gear. Looks like it'll be the other way around...

This is why the sculptor wanted to work on the Kirk some more. These were all done quickly and are a "first pass". The sculptor was hired by Art Asylum to redo the Kirk and Spock heads on the landing party statues. At one point they had the Kirk head perfect, with all the swagger and attitude that Shatner put into his performance. However that sculpt was vetoed by Shatner, and the final prototype was a shadow of what could have been once Shatner's requested changes were made. The sculptors still have one of the versions of this sculpt that looks the most like Shatner. They planned to use it as a reference to upgrade the Scifimetropolis sculpt. They also wanted to make a few tweaks to McCoy and Scotty as once they were painted a few other details came to light they wanted to adjust. Last time I spoke with them they planned to finish the four other sculpts that had been started, along with some additional characters for their private collection. People would lose their minds if they could see what I have seen over at that studio.

Yeah looks like it...

Not sure when nanjin is coming back but I don't see the headsculpts coming anytime soon, and I am not happy with the unbelievable lack of updates on these. I mean look at nanjin that guy posts here every other day with pics and ^^^^, why is Chris not more like him?! And it's not like Chris is not online at all, he is here pretty much every day.

Even though I got a little bit of flak for it, that is why I went a head and comissioned Spenser to do my 12" My Name is Earl custom I posted last night. I was so gung ho back in October when I started putting the outfit together on everything then it just kinda fell silent and I just got tired of waiting and hearing they would start soon and so forth. Oh well I know patentice is the key but sometimes its gets harder esp when you see the outstanding updated nanjin keeps posting.

I don't have any pictures that include the full figure. But from other real life pictures that I have seen, they are about right, in my opinion. But if you really think it is out of scale. Please let me know asap. Because I want to get these out of the way by tomorrow.
