Hello, here is the uniform that I rejected when I was in HK 2 months ago. The color is not correct (stronger and darker gold color or mustard), the cutting is not correct (I want it to follow 1:1 official pattern), the insignia is too small (needs to be 1.5 time bigger), the collar is too wide (the shape is good). But it surely looks better than the one which Barbie's boyfriend Ken wears and it does not open at the back like a ladies' dresses!

Yeah, they need to ace the rank and insignia.

I will be in HK on June 23rd, and most likely I have to source for the fabric myself if I am not under quarantine (swine flu). I will stay there for a month. Hopefully, I can finalize everything before I leave. At the sametime, I will begin my next project. If you think this project rocks, wait till you guys see my next one. :chew

I think you are referring to DA's and Les' threads, those are not about custom anything anymore, just personal life ^^^^ and posts saying "Oh no not page 2 OMG lulz!!".

Non-sense update:
I just rejected the pants again because the material catches too much dust. I don't think anyone want their TOS pants to end up like Batman's cape after putting them out for 2 days. Also it is a bit too fitted; it can't cover the boots.

I also reserve an option with the manufacturer on the tunic fabric. I extended my option to choose fabrics for the tunic up until the dead line for bulk production. I will be in HK 3 weeks later After I taken care of all my 1:1 business, I will do some last minute fabric sourcing on my own (I have to bring along an extra T-Shirt and a towel because it will be over 100 degreeF and extemely high humidity, and I sweat A LOT). Kirk's tunic color is the hardest part to decide. Even I chose a color 2 months ago, seems like everytime I turn my head I'll see a more appropriate color. Anyone bought the ST BluRay Movies? To make things simple, I will use the "gold" color on its cover.

My mistake, is the BluRay TOS (the one with remake special affects) not the movie. Go to BestBuy or something like that to check out the color in person. Viewing through monitor can be misleading.

As far as I know, the original color was green and it should be the same color as Kirk's V-neck wrap around tunic. But because of the fabric and TV technology of that era, it ended up being seen as "gold". Anyway, the color on the BluRay TOS is the color I am looking for. I think this is the color that most Trekkie accepted as the official color for TOS commanding officer's color.
