Added one more item to my collection this week, a cast of a Vader lightsaber hilt that looks very similar to the one used in the 1994 Energizer advert. I was lucky enough to get in on the first run on the RPF.

Whatever the origins of this hilt, in the absence of a cheap Graflex based RotJ hilt it will sit with my MR Force FX ANH and ESB hilts shown above. I'll probably paint and chrome it, but I'll leave the cast lines in place as these are on the cast it was taken from.

The trio is complete - the most accurate Stormtrooper helmets, from right to left: RS Prop Masters ANH First Edition, RS Prop Masters ESB Alan Harris Signature Edition, Cast From Original/CFO ROTJ

Great collection, which do you think are the best helmets to buy for price and accuracy what with EFX, RS and ANOVOS being the main ones?

EFX is not aiming to be accurate, it's heavily idealized and even symmetrical. It also has a pretty ugly seam running on the mouth (it's black) and also a couple other seams. RS is definitely going to be the most accurate. Anovos is a good middle ground, being cleaned up a little but but not necessarily idealized.

I already have an RS helmet but was looking to add to it but like you say I definitely think they are the best compared to what's currently out there. I would like the biker scout or scout trooper whatever way you prefer to call it but again I prefer accurate rather than just a replica.
Thanks for your opinion :)

I'm not going to comment on the best, however if you are looking for the most accurate RS is definitely the most accurate off the 3. It is molded from an actual prop. I actually like idealized stuff, and would love an idealized hero helmet. However the EFX with the seams is not a great helmet IMO, and the MR Hero goes for stupid amounts. I have an Anovos trooper helmet and I like it, but accuracy RS is the most accurate. If you are looking to add another helmet maybe a CFO? They make ROTJ trooper lids cast from an actual ROTJ lid as well.

Thanks for the info i will check them out :)

Sure, also rereading my comment I realize I made it seem like he efx one is a hero helmet, it's not. It's a stunt helmet (most trooper lids are stunt ones). I really do not like the seams on my EFX lid.

EFX PCR/MR CE are not quite accurate, way too symmetrical and idealized. MR LE/EFX LE (the fiberglass version) are reasonably accurate. EFX Legend should be the most accurate Hero version, if/when released. RS has the best stunts out there. Anovos is ok, but a bit too sharp for my taste.

If EFX ever comes out with their full TK, it should be up on the most accurate list.

1. IF. I really hope they will release the full TK armor, or at least the Legend helmet, but not too enthusiastic after such a long time
2. Depending on how much clean up and idealization we'll get. Legend Vader is a great helmet but it was quite cleaned up

jkno, did you finish your Stormtrooper armor yourself? I'm considering just getting a whole set done by RS Props and throwing it on a mannequin and calling it a day.

I had a good friend from 501st who built this RS armor for me. The whole thing (armor plus assembly) was cheaper than the RS kit armor from their site - this because the assembling itself was free, and he got his RS kit for a preferential price. :)

Finally my M19 scope arrived. This is one of the scopes used on Han and Luke DL-44 blasters as well as on Stormtrooper blaster. Much rarer and more expensive than the well known M38/M40 scope (the one present on the Master Replicas Stormtrooper blaster) I looked for this version for a long time. I got a case for it and it is on display, next to my Stormtrooper blaster. The M19 scope is in excellent condition, love it, I'm even thinking of buying a second case and getting my M40 out for display as well.

if you think they look neat and want speakers sure, if you want them as a replacement for a replica I would keep moving, there's toy grade stuff that looks better ;p

What's the size and price?

C3P0 is 30cm so more or less full size the stormtrooper is a bit smaller both priced at £150 or £250 for both!!!
I believe that have Darth Vader to come and should imagine the Fett not far behind?
Saw the stand at Star Wars celebration sound was quite good and they didn't look too bad.
Some vids on YouTube.....
