The SDS armor I sold to my friend arrived to his house and here is its display for now - he will display the helmet separately:

That looks sweet.

Still dream of a full armor. Just don't really have room or money for that at this time.

He wants to use a full mannequin as soon as he moves to a bigger house, but right now this is the only way to display it in his small apartment. I know what he means, I also moved from a small apartment to my present house a few years ago, and back then I had a ton of collectibles sitting in their original boxes waiting for the big moment. :)

Yikes! You can get a current, state-of-the-art sniper rifle with long range scope that fires live rounds for less. With the money you save, buy a Stormtrooper outfit and fire the thing while wearing it. :lol

You can get a non screen used Sterling, convert it into a Stormie blaster even better than this one, with real parts too, and only spend around $1000 or so.

Managed to get a cheap MR Force FX 2007 Vader saber today, it's missing the battery pack and one of the thumbscrews but is otherwise in fully working order and was far cheaper than I was prepared to pay for it.

I've stripped it down and removed the blade so I can display it with the 2005 version once I sort out a stand to hold them both. Here they are together

All I need to do now is find a replacement thumbscrew (it's the rear screw with the funnel shape, not the knurled screw at the front), and a working battery pack.

I have a flexible mannequin that I use. Sturdy and well made, got it from a UK shop called Morplan years ago.

So got a mannequin from morplan good call thanks for that I will take some pics when it's all set up :)

do you wan tto sell it :p?

It might have been $500 when he made it back then. Right now an M38 scope goes for $250-350. No to mention the cylinders, t-tracks, stand and the Sterling itself (which also depends on how it was deactivated, old spec or new without any moving parts).

yeah I want one... whenever I see someone selling though it's usually in the UK and they won't ship out to the US because of their laws.

love that !

Thanks. :duff

There is one for sale on FISD. IIRC it is ESB but easily to be converted into ANH or keep it as is. Then in US you can get a Unique Canes or IMA Steling and convert it. Some parts can again be found on RPF or FISD: Roy t-tracks, real or resin/metal fan made scopes, metal scope rails, real or fan made Hengstler counters and also cylinders.

I'm not good with that sort of thing so I'm looking for a prebuilt :( I am a member of the RPF and check the junkyard quite often and that's where I see the UK only ones. FISD is whitearmor.net? I googled really quick and that's what came up.

FISD 501st is indeed whitearmor.net. Keep an eye there or on RPF, there are E-11 Sterlings from time to time for sale. That's where I got both my Sterling and MGC E-11 blasters from.

Does anyone know where I can get a poseable mannequin in the U.K at a fair price from please?
