Thanks so much for sharing this - loooks amazing - if only they'd turned up out-of-box looking like that :hi5:

The colours, the quills - perfect.

There's some irony that (IMO) the best looking one out there (that I've seen so far) is owned by someone who admits he's not a huge fan of the franchise :) - good for you! - you spoke with your wallet and WHATEVER it cost for the extra 2-way shipping & the customisation - the end result is well worth it.

Congrats dude!

(* also nice to have a voiceover done by someone with an easy-going accent & no foul language - I've been watching some recently that I had to stop after 30-seconds due to irritation factor :lol *)

.

LOL
Easy going and no foul language! I keep it clean.
Im a fan of the franchise, so that part is not true exactly. However, I do like my other lines a bit more and the limited amount of space keeps me at check.
Thanks for the comment. This one had to be shown. Video and pics still dont do it justice.

Averone, your quills length is excellent, looks great. The other one I saw customized is way too long, looks like a crown.

Not too keen on the red down the center of the head. But still an excellent job.

Looks great Averone. Porcupine quills looked excellent close up. I have added gloss to the eye lids to give it a wet look. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks everyone

There can be a deadpool in all of us lol

Received my replacement masked head so figured I would give it a shot taking the mask off to see if it's possible to make a new one. After heating it up with a heat gun 2 things happened 1 the mask does come off. The downside is the poly stone becomes incredibly fragile and literally falls apart making it really risky to do. Might work of it was put into an oven for a certain amount of time but you run the risk of everything falling apart or cracking easily.

Thanks for the info. Wonder if hot water might work better :dunno

Are you going to try the dreds?

.

I did, heated them up and they get super flimsy and break at the head with the slightest touch. I guess I could try to boil this and see if it loosens up any better. I was able to get something to liquify is the mouth area I think it was glue but couldnt seem to melt the stuff that didnt melt.

yea if sideshow likes the broken pics im gonna play with this head see if its fixable

Happy to be told that even at this stage, there are replacements available and one will be heading my way shortly. :)

Yeah, mine has issues with both heads, the body, the base and magnets, too much for me to willing, or even able to fix. The rep was nice, very understanding and not a hint of a copy & paste reply. Had the option of a full replacement, or a $180 credit...

SS said "no" to a replacement for a friend who purchased the regular locally. And it was more damaged than anything I've seen on here.

What was the damage to your friends out of interest? If it is that bad, he should probably try a different rep. They are all human and have good or bad days like the rest of us.

Oh yeah, I missed the bit where you said bought locally, have him return it to them for a replacement, it isn't sideshows responsibility in that instance.
