Thanks guys. I'm still trying to decide if I am going to display it along with the second sculpt on the stand. I set up the display to be symmetrical and it was bothering me a bit to have an extra piece up there lol.. I was hoping that it would fit on one of those middle shelves but it's too large. It's up there for now but I keep wanting to take it down.

I always prefer the look of masked predators but I think this looks better unmasked. The face sculpt is really nice.

Looks good man!... Are you not going to display the second head sculpt along with it?

Decided to display it like this

The regular just comes with one empty right hand and the left hand with the spear. The empty right hands looks like the disc holding hand minus the disc. I think the main difference is the disc the comes sculpted on the ex hand is partially open so it changes up the spacing where the fingers meet the disc. And the disc on the sculpted hand has details on both sides.

Doesn't work, imo, carrying two weapons.
If you do get the 'Disc Hand' you need a Breather Mask left hand or, even better, empty hand.

Was always the other issue with this piece.
Use the Breather Mask and you're limited to unmasked portrait only.
Luckily I like my Predators unmasked as the Breather Mask hand is my favourite option.

Yeah I was not interested in the breather mask until I got the statue in hand and realized that I prefer him unmasked. I totally expected to display him masked when I made the purchase.

I also bought an extra spear hand.. Going to get that modified into a retracted spear.

The handle of the spear is 1/6 scale it's half as long as it should be to make 1/4 - I measured it against the hcg prop

HCG prop? - do you have a pic and accurate measurements of that?

I only have the measurements of the Master Replicas 1:1 . . . 32" overall (collapsed), 23.5" casing (see pic below) IF their claim of 1:1 is true.

As a comparison:
  • The casing on the Sideshow maquette (supposedly 1/4 scale) is 4.25"
  • The casing on the large scale NECA (supposedly 1/4 scale) is 4"

We all know that the Sideshow spear is wimpy, but it would be nice to know FOR SURE what the REAL 1:1 measurements are.

.

The handle (no spear tips) on the hcg 1:1 is 58cm. The handle on the maquette is 11cm

Just to add the maquette is 2 inches taller than 1:4 scale so that makes the spear smaller in proportion
