Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

seriously it makes no sense VS...its a little off-putting tbh..I might call them 2morrow to ask them to see what theyll say...

Maybe it's because it's late, but do you honestly believe a phone rep would have any knowledge as to why company gives their pieces certain prices? Best to just save your time on that one. They don't owe anyone any answers.

Although I do wonder why vocal forum guys don't demand the same types of questions in person in conventions:dunno not you, a2, just generally speaking.

I disagree I think they DEF owe people answers. Im buying a product from you, spending over a grand on ONE thing, the least you should do is be able to answer questions...also these questions arent coming from a malicious place, rather they are coming out of intrigue. Ive asked that same question to people on the forums in threads because truth be told im curious. Im new to the hobby (3-4 months in I'd say) and really didnt/dont know that much so was hoping to get an honest, accurate response. I'd have NO problem asking this question on a forum, over a phone, in person, etc (personally I've never been to ANY events, bcz like I said im new to the hobby but would love to hit SDCC nxt yr) because its a question that deserves to be answered. I said in a previous post im 90% sure I'll be getting this, just would like to know why its double the cost of Gladiator Hulk, which to me is highly priced but justifiably awesome.

Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

looks like PF just means 1/4 scale now on SS site they must have changed it
this GL looks like a statue to me

That still qualifies as mixed media due to the light up sections I assume.

I've been buying for 6+ years with ssc. All PFs are now considered 1:4 scale. PFs was once considered mixed media. SSC released comiquettes in both 1:4 & 1:5 scale. These were fully sculpted statues. The last fully sculpt 1:4 was Rhino. Because SSC wanted to standardize formats, PFs were classed 1:4 and comiquettes 1:5.

However, SSC also has a line called maquettes. This was ranges from 1:4 to 1:5 scale also. Maquettes are usually movie based statues with a few exceptions such as Thor & Black Widow (ScarJo) PFs.

In due time, ssc might faze out the 1:4 maquettes line and call them PFs too so people like you, aren't going to get confused by it.:monkey3

who from sideshow are you going to ask those questions to? i am still trying to get them to make the statue they promised 3 years ago: https://www.change.org/petitions/si...te-complete-lotr-series-as-stated-3-years-ago

they dont care...

Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

is there any light up feature for laser sight and arm band like in 1st predator maquette?????/

is there a stand for the extra head portraits????

For that much it should. The stand I doubt it, the light beam should be there at the very least for 1200.00. At least I would hope so for people paying that much.

I was going to call their 800 number...ive actually called it before and asked them my random questions and they answered...again to reiterate im not *****ing about the price and that its too high or that it bothers me..i just would love to know what the difference/justification is for such a significant difference...then if/when its an idiotic answer, il gripe as i click PO.

Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

Decide to order this despite the crazy price. Probably the only predator piece I will be getting.

Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

:lol at all the people who swore up and down that this would not be over 1k.

Not sure why you are laughing really, we're all losing out here. When you look at this piece you see 7-800 at the top end. It should certainly have been less than Sauron, No way this is worth anywhere close to what they're charging. Maybe if it was perfect... but it isn't.

Oh Sideshow. :dunno

Re: Predator 2 City Hunter Maquette

Either send it back or smash upon request, simple.

Unfortunately that's not an option for those of us abroad. I paid $140 in taxes alone for each of my latest $350 PFs. Just imagine what a $1200 piece would cost me, and taxes are not refunded. At least not by them, and it's not an easy process, either.

Definitely out. :dunno

Edit: Hm, but you're also abroad! :)

Yeh mate.
Pretty sure you can claim it all back if the item is destroyed.
One hair out of place and the hammer is out on this.
For $1,200 it better blow me away.

Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

Glad I was not planning on buying this. I would not pay more than $500 for a 1/4 statue...unless that 1/4 translates to 40 inches.
