Super Freak
Just got one.. cakewalked through.. no problems or timed outs or browser errors. Not sure if I will keep it though, but with Hot Toys, "order now, decide later".
Eh, the figures will still be valued at $225 for a while. Not too bad.
I'm just glad those scalpers got burned since this seemed like a regular release. It's another Predator figure, doesn't matter what the ES is for me.
HT/SSC definitely trolled those guys, but they're probably not that easily discouraged. i'm hoping now they'll think twice before trying to cash in on one of these "exclusives" again. the Guardian was easy to get too and now their dreams of early retirement have been dashed yet again.Eh, the figures will still be valued at $225 for a while. It may also teach people not to buy into the scalping due to the ones that paid 400+ already through ebay.Funny funny
I really don't understand scalping. You buy a $230 figure plus, say another $20 or more for shipping. After that, you have to go through the process of listing it on eBay which costs about $5. Even on a good day, you likely won't get more than $400 out of it, and on top of that you have to pay another 10% of what you make to eBay. Also another $5 to buy a box to ship it.
So 400 - 220 - 20 - 5 - 40 - 5 = 100
In the end, is it really worth going through all that in hopes of maybe making $100 on a good day? Why not just get a job?
plus people who are content to exist at a level where they need to flip toys for a living probably don't benefit from education.Nope, it won't. There will always be people out there to support the market who just 'can't wait' or who don't pay attention enough to find it elsewhere for cheaper.

This blog entry sort of explains it. The situation in HK is a bit different than it is in the US. Probably worse.
