supposedly this got a normal production run. like 2000+ made. and Guardian didn't really sell out that fast, there were people still getting them from the waitlist earlier this year.

I doubt it since it is still an exclusive. But if that was the case, I'd cancel my preorder and get it at BBTS.

That's too bad. It's a little different for me, though, since I'm from Canada. BBTS has the option of shipping their packages as gifts so people like me don't have to pay an extra 10% for duty fees. It's the reason why I preordered both my Classic Preds from them too, plus it's also $20 cheaper. Though I have to admit that the Super Pred skull was awfully tempting.

Off subject but I just today bought P2 Pred at Comic Con for a good price but he is missing his spear... If someone has an extra that they would trade form some other HT weapons please PM me...

You may know this, but several Predators have come with that spear (maybe repainted a bit here and there). You would probably have an easier time getting one from a less desirable figure. . .such as the one this thread is actually about:

Dangit! I was at the con looking for hot toys preds and didn't find any. Only the 1/4 neca figs and they were a bit over-priced for me. Good buy tho.

Off topic: Some of those actors were kinda douchery with their no pictures rule. Kinda irks me when they're like that. I did get to shake hands with Lou Farrigno tho. He was cool.

I got tracker already. I was looking for some older preds. But yeah I didn't look all that much around the toys area. I was checking out the artist sketches mostly.

i dunno, man. Lost and Elder didn't sell very well. Guardian only sold because of the scalpers jumping on an exclusive. it seems like HT is just taking a shot in the dark with these lost preds. but if nothing else, they're a great way to squeeze a few more $$ out of a mold. and jacking up the price another $40 ain't gonna stop me from buying them. hell, i'd pay $300 for this figure. maybe that would discourage more scalpers too.

that sucks about Asia though. you'd think HT would make some effort to not screw over their biggest customer base. this figure NEEDS to get a wider release.

I did see a cloaked medicom rah pred but I've heard bad things about medicom figs falling apart so I just said screw it. Besides I've got classic and shadow on preorder right now. That's 450 bucks that I really really need to start saving.

I bought a Medicom Predator and Alien years ago, but haven't looked (Can't find them) at them in years to see how well they've held up.

I just wish they'd (SS/HT) would lie of the Preds and finally make a Danny Glover - Lt. Mike Harrigan figure.

you are aware these are high-end figures right? if you don't like the price, there's always the NECA preds.

if a price hike can keep the scalpers away, i'm all for it.

But Shadow is using a brand new body. Which was probably developed specifically for Classic Predator. But HT thought since they had a new body and needed an exclusive for the conventions, it was the perfect excuse to put out another lostie. They must have figured that justified the price.

Classic cost less than Shadow and has way more stuff plus lights and a base
