Thing is, this one isn't fetching any money on the secondary market right now, and down the road with a NEW P1 announcement, you might get significantly less than what you initially paid selling this then. So much so, you might just say "I'd be better just keeping this, than taking that insult of an amount."

I bought it to keep it, hopefully. I reallllllly thinned out my collection, and this is one of the ones I intend to keep.
exactly what I was thinking.

Just my take, TFG. Not trying to start a post war with ya. I like ya :1-1:

Haha thats cool bro and you might be right. I would be kicking myself if the remake never comes though...especially seeing as I sold my P1 for this.
Better safe than sorry.

Ya better safe then sorry indeed, and even if a proper new p1 was made it wouldn't be that much better then my classic+baloo bio and Creg customs p1 kit, sure they could make the sculpt more accurate but I like to keep my preds masked.

I've sold my Medicom Spidermans for a huge loss, but its still a bit of money that I didn't have just before and I really had no use for those figures anymore. After a certain amount of time passes its not that much of a pain to sell something for less than you paid for it, if it comes to that. Granted I would generally prefer not to make the massive loss like I had on those but in their particular case I would have felt bad selling at what I paid or more because they're IMO badly outdated figures.

Hey, to each their own guys, and when it comes down to it they're ours to do what we please with them. Other collector's feedback is still good, and appreciated, but we shouldn't let what one person says influence our decision making in these situations. My advice, don't buy anything you don't intend on keeping for good. It sure saves you a LOT of money down the road. BUT, this is a great figure and worth keeping, even if a new P1 is produced in the future. Again though, just my 2 cents as a collector and owner of this figure.

I really do believe you will be able to get your money back out of this figure if you were to sell it with in the next year. I mean I pieced out my old P1 after the news of this release ( kept the bone trophies and armor piece for the arm ). Still made more than enough to cover the cost of the new classic figure.

I'm so confused as to whether people are taking shots of their P1 and their Classic or if they've just got two variants of the Classic

Would be bloody helpful if people were more specific :p

I've got 2 variants of the classic and one of them is being used as the p1!

something tells me that p1 and classic are twin brothers!! Classic went looking for his brother but got lost and captured by the black preds.

Thanks for the comparison pics. The body paint is much improved on the later version; much better blend of black/brown on the body and limbs, and the added brown on the front torso helps break up all that white. The earlier release has no definition in the torso while the second release does.

It was staying on when i wasnt touching it but when i was moving bits n bobs it was coming off. Probably stay on easy enough for a stationary pose (i had the mask on with no mandibles or chin in classics face)
