Is this indeed the case? I know that some people are OK with it, but I can't justify spending $200+ on a figure if the head is going to fall off every time I go to pose it. Is anyone else still having this issue? Have the retailers been good about replacing them if requested? I want to pull the trigger on this guy - very badly - but I'm not going to reward Hot Toys with a purchase if the QC is bad on this one.:lecture

Anybody have any idea how many people have reported this issue?

Mine is fine but I don't think it's a true QC issue that affects an overwhelming percentage of production. Those with this concern seem to be only in small numbers compared to the total units available. I think your percentage of getting one afflicted with this concern is low.

With the amount of figures Hot Toys is pumping out and there still being a back log from last year, I'm sure there will be plenty more QC issues arrising.

Mine fell off when I first opened it, but clicked back into place easily and has remained on through some quite extreme posing. I did notice it was the head AND neck post on mine that had come off, I think I've read some cases where it's just the head that has come off and this seems to be harder to reattach permanently.

I've been meaning to post a comparison pic that does the p1 more justice. Most of the comparison shots I've seen were taken by people with know idea of how to pose the p1. What do y'all think??? I think it looks pretty debatable here. It's only fair to mention though that I have done quite a few mods to my p1.

Thanks. I should have bought 2. While I was in Orlando area.

Yeah that's my prized posession along with a signed helmet and pucs from Simoncelli (RIP) from last year. Thanks to some close friends I get some behind the scenes access at the US GP rounds.

Finally got my my multi-color dioders from Ikea in so thought I'd share some classics pics under red/blue accents. Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics.

Looks good.

I still think the P1 is a fantastic figure. It's why I'm keeping mine. And probably will still if a new P1 is made....It's probably the only figure I wouldn't mind having 2 of as I usually never pose him maskless because I love the bio look so much.

I may be in a minority, but I've always preferred P1 :) .

More accurately sculpted head could be why.

It's not actually that accurate, that's the thing. I'd say the original P1 sculpt is more or less on the same playing field as the Classic, if not beneath it. In person, Classic's open-mouthed display really screams P1. Some pictures show it, but most don't. Once you're looking right at it, things are different.
