Predators - 1/6th scale Classic Predator Collectible Figure

I know this is in the wrong place, but I didn't know where to post it. I found this mask at Goodwill for $0.47. Its a thin plastic mask but damn its pretty cool, makes me want to get the Sideshow ones. My son insisted that I put it on the wall.

It looks bad in there picture, upclose its not so bad.

The helmet itself looks good, it's the unmasked head that's really problematic . $0.47 is a great deal for the best part of that set.

KNB did a good job on the Super Preds but a piss poor job on Classic.

Agreed. Classic looked like a cheap Halloween mask in the film. I could live with the misfolded mandible flaps, but something about the quills just irked me. They just looked cheap, the way they connected.

Could also be the faded paintjob that made the contrast between the skin and quills too great.

I see it the same way. When the pics came out about a few days after the premiere I thought "wtf!!" Stan and his team did a way better job... but this looked so poor without any interesting details.

Yeah..if the paint app wasn't so dull I don't think you'd notice how cheap the quills look.

God, surely they must have realized how horrible that costume was..

They kept bragging about how they used the original team and molds or something like that. Apart from Classic looking like a disgruntled P1, I don't see it.
Ah, well. The movie was great, so I'm not complaining. It was a start in the right direction.

The guys at KNB must have known how bad their Classic suit was. I'm sure the average movie goer could spot it a mile off. They got the suit wrong, the suit actor wrong, they got everything wrong.

Kind of but the film still missed a more tactical and out of the jungle atmospehere like the older films had or maybe It's hard do do really good predator movies these day's beacause they will mostly lack elements that the old cult classics haven't.
