The alien landed on the spear. All weapons should be made acid retardant since Preds use the same metal for all their weapons. Why use a weaker metal for the wrist blades and armor while stronger for spear and ceremonial dagger? Makes no sense. I agree that aliens are born killers but given that pred are highly trained hunters and well studied in the art of killing a species they've used in proving themselves for possibly millenias, they'd be a bit better prepared for it. They went in there like they had no idea what they were facing which made no sense.
The alien leaped at a human girl. The human girl swiftly grabs Scar's combi-stick and impales it. That's pretty badass...for a human girl. Anyone else probably would have been slaughtered.
"Predators use the same metal for all their weapons."....did you just make that up?
It makes perfect sense. It was their trial. They have to prove themselves. Can't have everything handed to them.
Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if their clan leader told them "Okay, some of your weapons are acid resistant..some aren't. Good luck."
It makes things more dangerous...they have to rely on their skill more rather than the strength and resilience of their weapons.
Did it ever occur to you WHY the predators hunt the aliens? Because they are the ultimate prey. They are the "perfect organism". Training will surely help..but the alien is designed to kill. It is a living machine with only that purpose.
They knew what they were facing, but they underestimated them and that definitely showed.
Oh and it you were a pred and got face F'ed I doubt you'd find yourself still honored enough to keep yourself alive not to mention throwing away your bomb gauntlet which was your only possible salvation towards dishonor. It's just I characteristic for a pred to do that. As a person that may be new to the franchise I found it fun to watch but being a fan of the other films and the comics and graphic novels, I can't find any logic in the behavior of the AVP Preds. Gotta admit Celtic's bio design was badass!
Like I've said...it seemed like Scar thought he could redeem himself. As if he wanted to fight until the end and let his masters decide his fate.
I get what you're saying...that any predator would have ended himself right then and there. That it's the "honorable" thing to do.
I think Scar viewed it differently though. This was the end of it all and he wanted to go out on his feet. Fighting.
I'm expecting a reply from you buddy but please don't expect an answer. I see people arguing for days on here trying to prove a point or get others to see thing in their way and I'm not here to do that not will be be persuaded to do so.
Let's jus say we love the franchise and are two sides of the same coin. Cool?
Well if you would just agree with everything I've said then we won't need to argue.
@a-dev
Yeah, that's true. I would guess a few hours based on where Lexa and crew were in the temple when they chest-bursted. But either way, he had time.
