Premium 1/4 Darth Vader statue.

For my next statue I am thinking about buying the Darth Vader 1/4 version. Do you recommend the Iron Studios 1/4 version, or the Sideshow 1/4 version, and why?

try and get the IS from ebay for a decent price (less than $1k) while you can. There is no contest between the two.

^^^What Ambash said because there is absolutely no contest between the two. The Iron Studios Darth Vader is the best 1/4th Vader ever made.

Why do you prefer the IS version?

And do you prefer IS statues in general or just this one in particular?

Iron Studios is the best, great pose, awesome base, lots of extra parts. I like SSC DV very nice lousy pose and plastic head, no extras, aside from that awesome piece. You can wait and get SSC Darth Vader for $430.00 they had coupon $70.00 off a while ago. Also 1000 IS DV and 7000 SSC DV. Not sure what one I would get for what you have to now pay for IS DV. I am biased after so many years of collecting and so many statues I have to sell and lose so much on, then and criminal shipping companies with what they charge I no longer enjoy to pay over retail for a piece. five ten years ago I paid almost anything for a piece over retail but no longer. Just not fun anymore to pay double almost triple for what you use to pay what I use to pay.

Pick the one you like most. If youre at odds with which one to get, then youll probably end up trying to get rid of either down the line.

What impresses me most is the size and pose. I love how dynamic it is. The sculpt and paint are ace as well.
