Are you calling me a liar? It's true. I told Bob, Dave, Danny, Rumi, and a couple others in a chat right after SDCC that year.

all I'm saying is that sometimes you got to adapt, I'm not saying that you should change!!! Be yourself! to me it's seems like you are a great guy!

Be yourself, but try to express yourself diffrent if you know that everyone will missunderstand you..

I'm always trying to find a way to express myself that doesn't bother someone but that seems to be difficult.

I still don't understand why the SW PFs got the added protection, and LOTR did not.

The only SW PF I have is Vader, and there is no such thing as an "added protection" between the brown shipper and the inner box. Which SP PFs are you referring to and what "added protection" do they have?

Perhaps the outer sleeve that serves as another barrier between the actual product box and the shipper? For my $$$ those little styrofoam corners have always worked amazingly well.

I know my Doom had polystyrene corner blocks. I couldn't give 2 cahoots bout the box but i can appreciate why folk would bother. To me I feel like I have to keep them - with nice graphics. You have to draw the line with wat you keep as it can get out of hand - i.e. people keepin the brown shipper, I don't c the point in this, maybe its proof your the first owner or thats what people think.

Why do they need to double box everything? Because a few boxes get dinged up? It will cost more if they have to do all these extras in shipping. I don't see how them shipping the way they are now is making them less a collectibles company. The collectible is fine right? Well, that's what they are selling not the box. :)

Put it this way Josh...If you were in a store, and got to choose between 2 Lurtz PF's, one was PERFECT on the outside, and the other had a big hole in the box, but, BOTH the insides were perfect and undamaged...which one would you choose???

Sure, the outer box isn't everything...but, anyone here would be pretty disapointed, if our PF's, or indeed any box arrived in bad condition.

Well, in a store yes that would matter. It still does here to a degree but I've had a few items come with perfect box on the outside but broke on the inside. It's one of those for me anyways that if the item on the inside is fine I'm not gonna get upset about the box. I do understand the other side of the equation but I don't see the reason to go busting SS balls about it.

Greivous was the only SW that had the styro corners. Predator, already a huge box, had them too I believe. It's done on a case by case basis and for Lurtz is was determined not to be needed. However not everything a shipping company can do to a box can possibly be anticipated.

Good thing SSC has such a good return policy.

I wasn't calling you a liar. I said it was "classic" and even used the :rock smilie. It's no secret that you're a diehard fan of Sideshow. That's why I said it was classic.

Yeah, those fedex guys don't really care too much.... If anything I think most people here are pi**ed off at them, not SS....SS does enough, in my opinion to protect the box and contents..It's the "care factor" used by the carriers, I think that needs addressing..:D

the sad but true part about all this is that its not even really SS's fault.
The SHIPPING guys are who should be attacked.

I wish someone with the time and rescources could create a Message Board thats solely dedicated to shipment damages. Create a forum for each of the shipping companies and only allow posts that show pics of items damaged in transit by the shippers. no *****ing or complaining. Just a "picture is worth 1000 words" approch.

I'll bet it would be flooded with posts and force the carriers to get their **** together by putting their own QC performance out in the open for all to see and all in one place.

Well, how about after SDCC 2005 Matt Falls asked me to send my resume in after talking with me. He said my passion for the product and for SS was something he liked a lot. The only reason I have not is I would have relocate half way cross the country. :)

Josh, I live in Missouri too and if I had a chance to move to California and work with SS I would jump all over it, especially at your age. But it wouldn't be the teaching job you have gone to college for.

Yeah, I've kicked it around a lot. Other than teaching working for SS would be the other job I'd like to do. It's not so much that I'd have to give up what I went to college for but other factors.

you think collectibles are limited edition? They dont hold a candle to how limited good teachers are.
