They don't do revisions after they've painted everything. They're too busy rushing these to production rather than taking the time of doing them right. You can tell which projects they actually care about and which ones they are just doing for the money by their willingness to fix issues or not (same can be said of HT too). This was money project IMO.

This is good news Denny. There's a consensus that the lector sculpt can be better. I (and one others here) hope you can work on it a bit more to get it up to the quality of seven, matrix and others.

It is a good sculpt as is. You can not get a sculpt perfect every time. This is still a very strong likeness

That angdor sculpt has a lot of Hopkins it but it lacks skin texture and doesn't exude 1/6 high end quality. It feels like a tier above old Sideshow stuff but not up to speed with contemporary high end sculpts.

I'm not sure if there are better options out there for the suits though (either one). If you hunt around every nook and cranny in the 1/6 market you'll probably find something that you'd have to end up modding or dying or something. And it still probably wouldn't be able to fit a TTm18 + the fat suit like this does. And forget about getting the old Medi. Any ones out there are crazily priced, scarce, and subpar.

That Andgor sculpt was done around 10 to 12 years ago. There are a lot of recast of that head floating around although I think the OP told me he had gotten his painted head directly from Andgor. I bumped the thread in the interest section of the newer sculpt from the same sculptor. Again I will offer my unsolicited opinion about level of detail on sculpts. Most of the texturing you see on head sculpts is done by tricks like using sponges or other texture stamps as they are called. It does not require the same amount of skill and/or talent as creating a likeness. In cases where heads are being done in larger studios the texturing usually isn't done by the same person who sculpts the heads. The trend in the community seems to be that the more texture a head sculpt has on it, the better it is, regardless of weither the likeness is there or not.As someone who has been collecting figures for 40 plus years all I have ever wanted is head sculpts that look like the actors/actresses they are suppose to represent. It seems like more sculptors are pumping out mediocre sculpts and over detailing them to compensate for poor portraits. As long as people keep buying the deception expect to continue being disappointed. That is across the board from custom sculpts up to Hot Toys and Enterbay

ABSOLUTELY I AGREE in almost todos..

this is like the chinese's work
korean and china will become the same... mass producton,
only fast money,
the passion for perfection is about to lost...
this head has to be fixed to resemble hannibal/hopkins..., mouth wrong..
and all here to say amazing, wonderful..
fix this head..give us a real lecter...

yes denny you do, but for this head there are been a lot of attempt to explain the mouth was wrong, the lips was wrong, but now is pretty the same...
please try do not make like enterbay and hot toys ,most of the time they careless to corrected the defects to open the preorder and makes fast money...you and your staff are artists not only money maker..
please don't take this like an offence..is not my intention..
I am a little bit disapponted because I always thought (now I didn't change my mind), korean sculptors were one of the most value in the world... sorry my english

I know we discussed this via pm, but I still think that sculptor's updated version has the Andgor one beat.

i think you did an awesome job. there is allways going to be a few people who complain and one day they will do there dash.
the figures you have made are all great keep up the good work and dont let the windgers get you down.

Some picky people in here. I hope Axe wakes up soon. Lot's of questions need answering.

Personally, I love the sculpt. Sure, it's not perfect and revisions might help make it so, but as it is I'd be happy laying down my money for a full figure. I'm actually pleasantly surprised with the price across all variations. A lot of bang for your buck.

I'm feeling some serious deja vu from the Ra's thread. I think the sculpt could be tweaked a bit, but like it. Rainman's sculpts aren't always 100% dead on IMO, and that goes for some of his own releases, as well. But they have a certain quality to them that I like pretty much across the board. If you aren't totally happy with what he does and can do, then that's too bad, but I wouldn't be so presumptuous as to insinuate motivation and effort. Whatever the case, I think this is gonna look fantastic on (my) display:

I think it looks great, and I love the tailoring of the clothing! ..but ya I agree that mouth looks weird, I hope it gets tweaked to everyones satisfaction.

And how many Rainmain sculpts have been fixed? None by my account. He's more the one that doesn't seem to care. I'd highly recommend dropping his over hyped butt and keep using sculptors that actually care about the subject matter. I know you guys worship him like a god, but he isn't. The message you are sending on this figure is that iminime doesn't care what the fans think of this figure if you release the headsculpt as is.

You guys do some fantastic work. Don't get me wrong about that. But more and more of the headsculpts have seemed rush, and needing improvement and not many are getting that treatment. Frankly, most of them have been Rainman sculpts. You gained a fanbase here with your attention to detail and good sculpts. Ignoring their input will only turn them away.

I know you guys are looking at going pro from the Walking Dead thread. Licensors aren't going to be any less critical that we are, perhaps even more. Best get used to having the first sculpt attempt not being the one and only attempt.

I know I'm sounding harsh, but I do think I'm just saying what everyone is only thinking and being too polite to say.
