I just want to say for the record that I don't think the insignificant changes to skipper and Hannibal were on iminime. IMO that's all rainman
It's why Denny completely redoes sculpts but rainmans revisions are not really noticeable

Yea Rainman really isn't one for complete redo's. The critisism of the Skipper is something I've never really understood. Its a stunning figure and the V2 sculpt is spot on for me. With a little love (like virtually all Iminime releases) it really shines!

Skipper V.2 is really cool, first one was a bit skinny, but the likeness is there.
I love Ra's sculpt by Rainman, and I think that Doc, Butcher, Plainview and Anton are the best things he produced. And they could stand with their quality for long.

Skipper is one of the all time underrated and let me tell you if this figure was offered when the show was running it would have sold like hotcakes. People around these parts are too concerned with the flavor of the month shows like Breaking Bad and Walking Dead (though Breaking Bad is worth the hype).
I wonder if he sold anymore when Jim died?
In any case the only part that I think lacks on skipper V2. is th eyes, they are too narrow and have a bit of an Asian flare, s common problem with a few Rainman sculpts. But I think the sculpt and figure overall is top notch.

I guess we all have really different eyes sometimes. I was always on the fence about Skipper and really struggled with making the decision (same way I'm struggling now everyday over the Space Monkeys). It's a piece that I really wanted in my collection and had high expectations for. I almost pulled the trigger a few times but never committed. When I saw it in person at Famcon I made my final decision that it wasn't the Skipper I was looking for, and came to terms with taking a very unfortunate pass.
He was even reasonably priced and that much more so with the VIP discount, and I still couldn't do it. I know that I have high standards and nothing is perfect but I can't invest money or collection space on something that doesn't meet at least 90% of my expectations (generally speaking, not just talking about Skipper).

Same here. The Sopranos is one of my all-time faves, I was itching to pull the trigger but couldn't... I just don't see enough T in there, however hard I tried
...it is interesting what our brains decide to see. I know the ACI Maximus sculpt for example falls well short of being a perfect likeness, but all I see when I look at it is Russell Crowe as Maximus. I'd say that that sculpt is as accurate a representation of Crowe as RM's sculpt is of Tony Soprano... but one I really enjoy, the other not at all.
