I don't think anyone believes the price jump is purely based off CS?

I for one LOVE CS. It is a way more optimized system, with, you know, a SEARCH bar that works! It seems most everything on Iminime was unlisted or something because when I bought Wallstreet Killer, I had to click the SSF direct link, couldnt find it on Iminime for the life of me.

The photos are also great. Really liked the photo studies you do of other figures so to have access to something like that before a launch is great.

I wasn't saying that more accessories are needed. Bride doesn't have anything else. My main gripe is that the sword is not metal. It is the only accessory.

Wake, I'm sure you will take more (corrected) pics later, but I would like to see a picture of the front of the biker pants, natch, to see how the zipper all the way down into the crotch was handled, also the Four Tears patch on the biker sleeve.

If I could just make one more request. . . a pic of the sole of the shoes. Random I know, but I'm just curious how much research was put into this project. . . mwahahaha.

When you add another person, whoever that is, to the payroll that's obviously going to get folded into the production costs. Saying CS is responsible for the entire price increase is likely inaccurate as is saying Wake's involvement is not responsible for any price increase. Like it or not, Omar is providing a service and being paid for those sold through CS. This is a business decision Denny has made and as customers we either decide to purchase at the price stated or not.

And I understand being passionate about this Wake, and I appreciate your contribution, but some of your responses don't always come across as even-tempered and professional.

Thank you guys....deleted the explanation.

Don't want to get stressed, just want to say..pass it

I feel that iminime's sets have always been a "too good to be true" situation. I think the earlier sets were priced too low and created a "false sense of security" as it were. $430 is still a good price, all things considered, in the land of "custom creations".

Don't be upset, Denny. It's your birthday. :(

I think we all love and appreciate what you do. We're all here because we love the same things right? We maybe just get confused sometimes what's going on. :1-1:

Anyway, cheer up and :fest:happybday

Keep up the good work Denny. At the end of the day it's a hobby we all enjoy. So let's stop the back and forth BS and get back to how bads** these figures came out.

I made Wake to involve this and I do not want him to get so much stress from this field that he loves.

We do work together because we love 1/6

Denny, Wake is doing a great job, and these figures look amazing, I am very happy to see you posting again, I hope you had a great birthday!

I've always thought it's a situation of 'Too good to be true' also, and have never seen the price as an issue ever, regardless of accessories.

When you look what other people are charging, these are a breath of fresh air.

Also look at the incredible sculpts, and not just on these figures, and also how many people go back, and then back again, until the sculpt is as perfect as they can get it...? Not many.

Personally i'm just grateful, and Denny-Wake-iminime, your figures are amazing. Love em.

I really appreciate that explanation Denny....I just feel bad that pop, who I have never met but have pmed seems to be a elder statesman on this board. I think some of the questions he brought up were thoughtful but you and wake are correct.....questions like these should have been via e-mail or pm.....I hope there can be some learning and mended fences on this and I hate to see one guy vilified but I do remember seeing Denny post a while back about e-mailing him....sigh

I don't want to vilify anyone either.... Bit this is the second thread that these arguments flare up and it isn't coming from multiple people.

Honestly it seems like nobody cares for the bickering. Neither do I. But I won't allow falsehoods and conjecture to be stated here. Not when it's wrong. So please let's keep the conversation to the things we know. In Denny's case that's price and quality. In the case of customers... You are free to buy or not.

I dont know why people complain about price hikes with hot toys... I am one of them but that does not justify everyone to jump on prices. Hot toys needs to pay a lot on middle men, it also has a significant component going to license, and they are getting expensive by the day. Lastly they have to spend an exorbitant amount in marketing and awareness, sales team for licences, and spread their wings wider than anyone else. I feel their price hike is massive and somehow still feel these figures although art are a burn for anyones wallet. Just my view and no disrespect to anyone.

Although i must say they are good figures.

Bottom line... I dont appreciate hot toys price hike, and i definitely dont appreciate everyone hiking prices using that rational. Dont get me wrong i am saying this with some pain cause if they were 25 odd percent less i would have tried buying them.
