Truth be told I’ve always liked Alien more than Aliens, including Ripley’s outfit. Maybe I’ll get this but I’m pretty happy with my Hot Toys version.

I’d rather get a Xeno to display with her. Right now mine is displayed with the Elder Predator since that’s the closest figure I own to an Alien from her universe of films.

As a kid I loved Aliens the most. As an adult I prefer Alien. Heck, I actually much prefer Alien Isolation over Aliens, which is why I passed over a super cheap HT Power Loader a few years back. I still think the movie deserves all the praise, but I probably grew out of it.

I rather they just re-cast the CM gear and armor and just sold it as a "Space Soldier". I would buy ten of them.

Yeah honestly I think customizing the old HT figure would still be the best way to go. Unless Present Toys makes some major improvements to theirs.

Hate to rain on everyones parade but even for a third party company, this looks absolutely horrible. I’m not sure how anyone could be excited for this. This could be $50 and I’d feel like I overpaid.

Hmmm….not really seeing Sigourney in there. More like a grumpy Pat Benetar. But it’s encouraging to see 3rd parties sticking it to HT and tackling the stuff we want to see.

Small things make me question did she have gloves on and it bugs me.

She did not wear gloves, which is annoying because all of the hands she will be supplied with are bloody gloved

She never wore gloves at any point in the film, and her watch is missing. I do like the egg that comes with the set though. I may order it just for that and use the rest for parts. Whoever made the rooted Ripley head a few years ago, should do another run for this release.

Big ol' swing and a miss. It's like they came up with this figure from memory instead of using any kind of reference material. Had they just copied the Prime1Studio statue this could have been so much better.

I was just about to post the same thing: No gloves were worn. But even Hot Toys screwed that up with their original release and the figure that came with the Power Loader.

This is a lazy release. Just doing a Google search would provide details that Present Toys either missed or just got wrong.

I do like the egg and face hugger, as well. This release should be priced under $150.00.

Probably that's my fault. looks like they used my custom as reference!

I'm usually not this nit-picky but there are so many things wrong. The headscupt is way off. She didn't wear gloves, The grenades are wrong, like others have said the pants aren't right, there is something off with the grenade bandolier.

I’ve been much more inclined to purchase third party releases recently versus in the past. First I bought the Mars Toys Romero Joker. Now I have the Eternal Toys DeVito Penguin on order.

Still considering the Mars Toys Willy Wonka and Oompa Loompa. Also kind of want to get the Queen Amidala release.

To me third party companies are stepping it up more and more with interesting releases and not only that but are upping their quality more and more.

I still am a Hot Toys fan but there are definitely areas where they’re lacking and other companies are filling in and doing a serviceable job.

Good points, that's why I never really bothered with 3rd party figures until recently. Sure, there have always been a few pretty good releases throughout the years, but it was a very low percentile. I still prefer licensed figures in general, and always will, but it doesn't hurt to get a 3rd party one here and there if they deliver high quality.

I'm guessing they added gloves to help with the gap between the seamless arms and hands? The gloves look photoshopped in the promo pics anyway to cover the gap.

Exactly. Doesn't seem like there's a single thing on this figure that wouldn't need revising. Body proportions are just bizarre. Pants are all kinds of wrong. Not to mention the fabric on the shirt makes it look like a 1:12 softgoods figure. And Ripley pretty famously duct-taped the pulse rifle and flamethrower together for the finale.

Agreed, flawed (specifically the sculpt) but still will PO this.

The only other 1/6 alternative is kitbashing/spending big bucks on a custom or get the 1/4 Prime statue or smaller NECA figures.

I have a Bishop I got from OSK (Scaletta) that would pair well with this Ripley.
