Oh, I'm not saying McCain is the answer. I'm still on the fence whether I'm even going to vote at ALL, the choices suck so bad this time. But if I DO vote, it won't be for Obama. To me, he is that dangerous.
I could go on about McCain's suckiness as well, but there are already enough people making those points, so I'll leave that to them.
I can't believe McCain didn't pick Romney. Had he done that I think a lot of fence sitters would have jumped right in.

To me that is pretty sad and kind of sheds a poor light on the republican party that they wouldn't pick the obvious candidate because of his religion.
It's still shuffling deck chairs. McCain needs Palin to appeal to the fundamentalist wing of the GOP and those people were never going to vote for a Mormon.

It's less of a poor light on the party as it is on the American people. McCain picked the person he and his advisors believed would bring him the most votes. If the people at large were less ignorant and intolerant, that would have been Romney.

Something I've always found fascinating are the liberals that fight tooth and nail to allow said women to abort their babies in an incidence like that and would then turn around to fight tooth and nail so that the person doing the raping is spared the death penalty.
Is rape punishable by capital punishment anywhere in the country or am I missing something?
not anymore, unless something went along with the rape.
It probably makes more sense once you realize a baby and a fetus are not the same thing.
