Liberals wrote the book on playing up fear and being negative? :lol Carl you should stick to topics you understand better.

Uh, yeah they did: Or maybe you actually believe that most/all Republicans really "hate poor people" and want to "starve children" by voting for a School Lunch Bill that simply has a smaller increase in funding than the Democratic bill. :lol

Also, who is that has almost everyone in the country peeing in their diapers over the economy right now?

That's what I thought.

I understand it all quite well, thanks.

No party is singly responsible for our current economic crisis, both had plenty to do with where we are. And both sides have made bad decisions.... It would be ludicrous to say that isn't true.

I just want more intelligent, responsible, SANE people in office... Yeah, I'd like for them to be a bit more hands on in the economy and more hands off in social or moral issues... But primarily I just want leaders who aren't idiotic yokels who cannot pronounce words correctly and drag us into meaningless wars.

You keep telling yourself that. I believe they care a whole lot less about either than the other side of the isle. Not that either side cares as much as they should.

The economy is bad. So any one thats saying its not good is simply telling the truth. There's no scare tactic honestly cause we're freaking hole the size of mars.

Agreed. And members of both parties are also to blame for whipping the country into fearing that the economy could collapse any second now. But who's leading that particular charge? Looks like Pelosi and her ilk to me.

Truthfully, I have no horse in this race... because I strongly believe that both radical left and radical right are responsible tearing this country apart.

No, I don't take that as a joke. You want to talk like adults but stunts like that do nothing but stir the pot. I've pretty much broke everything you've been saying off and you have nothing to stand on. You keep posting the same stuff that others have rebuked as well. When you actually posting something that has a bit more than vague truth I'll listen.

You really haven't rebuked anything Josh. Just because you reply doesn't qualify as a successful counter stance. Most of your rebukes have been personal, based on emotion, and often just your opinion or whatever you happened to see/read at the moment.

I gave up on trying to communicate with you when you called my beliefs "moronic" earlier this afternoon simply because you didn't agree with them.

I have yet to see any of your statements backed up with any sort of factual evidence. You have a long way to go in learning how to debate someone. I won't be addressing any more of your posts this evening, so have at it, fire away... bang bang.

At this point my vote is still with Kodos.

There's a great documentary coming out soon you should check out called "Boogie Man" about Lee Atwater and the writing of the modern GOP playbook that is still being used in this election.

I think both of you let your emotions get in the way of posts. Case in point, your new avatar.

Pelosi's speech should not have cursed the bailout to failure, it should have just been ignored and they should have just focused on the task at hand. Besides, that bailout plan should be carefully gone over before being passed, we don't need any more rushed legislation out there that can potentially damage things in the long run. Besides, people need to develop a thicker skin and not let such a thing bother them anyway...

I too believe that the radical left and right are causing a split, even if I connect more with the left. People just don't believe in the same things and that will ALWAYS cause tension. No way around it.

This guy has done everything under the sun to look like the most patriotic jack a$$ who walks amongst us and yet he has the worst presidency in the history of the country.

I still think the four years of Carter was much worse. The worst economic times I have experienced in my lifetime. Everything that guy did blew up like a poo-bomb.

That SIMPSONS episode during the 1996 Clinton/Dole election framed it perfectly:

Kodos: "Abortions for everyone!"

Crowd: "Booooooo!!!!!"

Kodos: "Abortions for no one!"

Crowd: "Booooooo!!!!!"

Kodos: "Okay. Abortions for some... miniature American flags for others!"

Crowd: "YAY!!!!!"
