The Big Chap Maquette is 28" tall. It's a nice size!

Damn InfectDead, I would've thought you'd be the last one to buckle and order this piece! But it's for a good cause. A 1/4 Engineer with better pose is a must. Good luck with the custom brother. :peace

I'm sure this piece won't be the last we see of The Engineer. I'm sure by now Sideshow knows that the scale and pose flopped this piece, not the character. So I expect to see a 1:4 scale in the coming years. That's the one I'll get. :)

Patience my friends,

I think when David8 said, "Big things, have small beginnings", what he meant to say was, "1:4 scale must first be 1:5 scale". Ha!

Ian Whyte = 7'1"

7'1" = 85"

85"/4 = 21.25"

Engineer plus base = 22"

Perfect 1/4 scale Engineer.... Thats how im justifying this purchase. This isnt a 1/5 Engineer statue, this is a 1/4 Ian Whyte as the last Engineer statue.

Don't being discouraged by negative comments. If you like it just PO it and be proud. Look what happened to Wolf lsf now lol.

The hate is fueled from many looking forward to a great piece, but instead, left disappointed after the reveal. :(

:exactly: I don't think it is so much hate as disappointment either, much the same as the P2 Maquette thread which has a somewhat negative vibe to much of it. Difference is that has its supporters still whereas not many can see and redeeming features on this one. Unfortunate but that is just how it is.

I really don't see why SS didn't just widen his stance a little and give him a slightly larger base, seems like it would be a relatively small job given the income it could generate. :dunno

The connection with this to Wolf is, both are underrated and being hate at before/just after release.
Engineer maquette, by a slightest chance, IF this thing ended up being the first in the line, is the best collector's item from Prometheus and being sold out, it might be sought-after much like Wolf is in near future.
Sure you can't compare them directly but the similarity is there IMO. For being hate at and low ES I mean.

Still want this... Even though 1/5 it's a nice size and EX is only 200... Must resist...

Pre ordered mine,i don't care about the ES on any pieces i buy, just want this to be as detailed as the proto, and hey,if a bigger one comes out,im all over that too, this piece is gunna look beautiful.
Oh ApemanRyan just do it,I'm sure you wont regret it

If you really want it then go for it. The low es in this case is there simply because most people are uninterested due to the pose and price etc so wont necessarily raise the value later on. But if you like it then that wont matter as you can just buy with the intention of keeping it and hope they don't put a better version out down the line.

Welcome Inferno, hope they make this one good for you.

Yeah I know I will pull the trigger soon. Just been wanting a Prometheus collectible for my collection and besides Neca this is the only other one but this looks great even if price is a bit high and scale is sort of small. It's a nice size so will work for me.
