This logic is not science.
The reason for this is because the reverse can also be true. Humans could contaminate the foreign environment. (See when Europeans met Naitive Americans) Biologists would fear killing off the local wildlife.
Additionally, there is no way one would know if an alien pathogen would infect humans or not until tests are done. So no scientist in their right minds would take that risk and would use this movie as a bad example.
I would go so far as to say MAYBE explorers would, but these were not explorers. They were a simple crew of a colonizing mission.

The reverse situation for life of an alien world is also true. If pathogens from Earth make their way to an alien world, they would be out of their element and not have an effect on the life there. Viruses and Microbes have evolved to infect the life of the planet they're from. The diseases that spread in the new world from Europe are from Earth not an alien world.
What about alien bugs? What about bug bites?
Not worry about that?

There are bugs in Australia that can kill u.... in our own world
Imagine another planet

Venom and poison from animals and plants have also evolved to affect life of that world. Though it's possible they would have some effect on an alien creature. But then again, the Covenant crew were going to Origae 6 to start a new life, they wouldn't have been wearing spacesuits 24/7 building log cabins, they had to risk their lives over there with the same threats from venomous animals, poisonous plants, and pathogens of any alien world. It seems to me they know what they're doing better than anyone alive today from experience and technology. They didn't know Engineers exist, that they seeded life on planets including Earth and influenced the development of humans so they're familiar with life on Earth, and have sophisticated biological weapons that can kill us and that those weapons were used on their world and spread out on that world with further manipulation from a genocidal Earth Android. I don't think they would've ever expected what they encountered.

Is that their name? False widow? Like in here?

AHHH!

**** you!

I thought it was odd just how quick Ripley Jr. conceived her plan.

“There’s something onboard”

“Quick to the Airlock"

Oddly enough that was the least of my worries. I mean, they are on a ship and they have to get the ****er off the ship so the logical place to do it would be the airlock.

But I still agree the last half of this film was a race against the clock and no tension what so ever. Even the twist ending and the final scene was telegraphed loud and clear for those who have ever seen an Alien movie or a person swap plot line. It was just very lazy.

My only hope now is Daniels wakes up just before David experiments on her and kicks his ***. Or Walter somehow gets to her and saves her. I mean, they made pains to show the derelict ship was still there on the planet and there could be other engineer ships in the capitol somewhere that David didnt know about after all. The place was huge.

I recommend that you research the term "Planetary protection" because the points you're brought up are valid but lean heavily on the assumption that contamination is only based on parallel evolution.
Like stepping on thin ice, some contaminants can react instantly.
They're alien, so who knows what can happen. It's a very high risk. (See movie: War of the Worlds)

Pretty much. More of the same. No creativity here.

Caught some of this online.. looked good to me. It was crappy in-theater, cam footage but I'm at least interested in seeing it now. But I did get the feeling I was just watching a better version of Prometheus if that makes sense. It's almost the same exact movie. :lol
