See, I'm at that age where i can go see a movie and just enjoy it for what is is - entertainment....I did enjoy Alien Covenant; not sure anyone on the movie team knows where its going, but it was sure interesting to watch. Once again Ridley Scott is more concerned with questions than answers........Its a little frustrating, but feel this movie was a huge step in the right direction.

The more I think of it, the more convinced I am that Scott should continue the series - not in movie form, but in a ten episode format on Starz or some such. They clearly need the time to develop the intriguing story ideas......

And this was Franco's best role to date.....lol

The last thought: I am David. The rest of you are all Walter.

I have a feeling that anyone who actually enjoyed this film is going to have to keep quiet about it, or else jye is gonna send out his secret weapon:

Finding it hard to disagree with this guy

Damn that was good. That dude hit a homerun.

Was the space jockey supposed to crawl thru the corridors lol

lololol

These movies are really truly becoming like the star war prequels but the hate for these is completely completely different.

He eloquently expresses my take on the whole Alien saga very nicely.
Additionally, why I still believe that there should be a Xenomorph homeworld somewhere; at least as the original concept. Not the blue man group engineers we now have. Poor H.R. Geiger has to be turning in his grave.

It would be cool if in the third movie we learn that the engineers found the alien planet thousands of years ago and collected goo from it.

Maybe the engineers kept coming back for goo from time to time.

The origin of the goo could still be alien. There could still be a weird xenomorph planet.

I just like how pissed off he gets trying to convey how the space jockey's would never fit in the corridors lol

Hahaha! That was amusing, yes.

I was hoping that the goo would have been the focus after seeing Prometheus. It appears to have many varying effects.

In liquid form; when exposed the engineer spawed life on earth. However, particle form; it charred them and fuses with the local vegitation in order to produse sentient spores. All this is nullified by a space suit that can fossilize but also preserve a severed head for a millenia.

It seems like this goo was spawed in hell.
Maybe it's a catalyst for melding the organic with the inorganic.

The little worms became giant worms " well giant to their little size"
They didnt really mutate but just became bigger.
Plus the squid that shaw got as a baby

Exactly.
I would have liked to see more of what the goo does.
I wonder if this hoo itself is alive.

I think my prediction will ring true, that this movies domestic take won't eclipse the budget. It still needs to gross 40MM domestically to hit that number. With the percentage of drop off from opening weekend, I don't think it'll be on the top schedule of multi-day screenings much longer.

It's a shame really, it makes me wonder if this also had Fox pressure to 'get something out asap' like Alien3 was rushed...I believe that if Ridley and Fox decided to take their time it could have been better. Ok 5 yrs from prometheus to now, its a fair amount of time, but when you consider he only seemed to start really cooking it once Bloom's pre-production stuff was made known, it does make you wonder if Fox/Scott rushed this out....

I'm seriously shocked that nobody is acknowledging that the writer of covenant is the same as the green lantern movie!

Holy crap the movie dropped a massive 71% in only its 2nd weekend, that's the 2nd highest 2nd weekend drop of any movie playing in that many screens.

Yikes, say goodbye to this franchise lol.
