Fassbender confirmed in an interview with The Irish Times that he is playing a second android named Walter, presumably an assistant onboard the Covenant. "I am allowed to say I am playing two robots – Walter and David. I think what’s great about it is that Ridley has gone back to the original DNA of Alien, the horror element of that. But is also has the scope and the scale of Prometheus. Ridley has cut it already. He is a machine. He is an incredible human being and he was in such good form. He is such an imaginative and mischievous figure."

Gone back to original DNA of 'alien', that is highly debatable from what we've seen so far...How do you get selected for test audience screenings of movies while they're assembling the final cut....

indeed. I am really ambivalent on the new Blade Runner, the original is good as is, keep what made us love that as is, and I'm quickly becoming that way with the Alien saga, as a three film ONLY series....Nothing tops the first, the second is excellent for other reasons yet not quite eclipses the first, and the third I've grown to like a lot more in recent years than in the past. I think any learned fan is quite capable of coming up with their own conclusions for any 'gaps' or story inconsistencies.

For me, next year is all about the CBMs. Strangely, I'm looking forward to Logan the most right now. That'll all probably change when I see the trailer for Episode 8 though.

This looks so boring already.
Engineer world without engineer (they will either appear at the end of yu will have a 30 sec flashback scene), human Cannon fodder crew and David being the one who played with the xeno stuff and ending up creating the monster as we know it.
The alien story should have bee closed with Prometheus, make it lv426, make it the derelict, make it the ultramorph born out of an engineer the first xeno and then move to REALLY another thing with the sequel.
Basically it's gonna be rehash of what was done before with stupid origins (yay a robot created by humans created the xeno) with added spoiled engineer mythology.
Way to **** up what could have been really original and scary.
