Surprisingly I didn't have a problem with 80% of the questions in that video, which I had figured out myself, and it surprises me to see how dumb audiences are nowadays, they will put zero effort into trying to connect the dots with what the movie provides them, or try to reach a conclusion themselves, they need linear, hand-holding, puddle deep entertainment or else they feel lost and will blame the movie for it, I can't say that it's a great movie or not, because I honestly don't remember it since it's been so long, but damn, it's kinda disheartening to see those questions pop in the viewer's head, I remember I read similar questions in the Prometheus thread back then.

However, the small brainfarts were not properly addressed, the fact that they got lost still looks dumb, they had the map, and they never attempted to make contact with the ship for directions, if they had, and communications failed, it would've been addressed, but they didn't, the snake thing too is dumb, considering the circumstances, etc etc. But having revisited that, they're minor complaints really, I need to rewatch this soon.

Nephilim? I never even considered this, holy ****, I had no idea RS addressed the engineers as "dark angels", I always thought explaining in some way the xenomorph would be killing their mysticism, but nephilim? That **** is genius!

Odd looking creatures. Hard to make out any of the fine details.

No creatures in those images save for Engineers, some are in head down and look weirder but no xenomorphs around.

So far it's exactly what I expected, a new crew a deserted planet again... Hope we get to see the engineers genocide on screen. Would be cool if it was actually Shaw or David that unleashed it.

The fact that the guy (guys!?) in that video clearly state that they're gonna "definitively" answer the biggest questions of the movie while "knowing full well we could be totally wrong" is hilarious. Nerds.

Some new info is out. The aliens in this are apparently referred to as Neomorphs.
I didn't read any further other than that they look different because I don't want to be spoiled.

Not really spoilers as much as disappointment. They basically say the next film won't feature ANY of the creatures from the first (minus the engineers obviously). Which sucks. Because the little alien dude, deacon or whatever, was the most interesting thing IN Prometheus. And the next film is apparently gonna completely omit that. Dead storyline.

It's the same **** Scott was saying about the first. Makes no sense and it's extremely frustrating considering that everybody wants to see a path to something we all want to see. Saying "oh it has nothing to do with alien", jus pisses me offs considering that the movie has EVERYTHING to do with alien.

Yeah just disappointing news. I wanted to see the Deacon return, now they'll probably never follow that up or explain what happened after. I liked Prometheus for some reasons but it failed miserably with story, cast and acting.

I'm hoping that Creative Assembly make another Alien Isolation. That had throw backs to Alien and expanded the mythology properly and in an interesting way. It was also scary AF and encompassed a lot of the horror themes from the original movie

It wasn't bad, but I wish they went with the original script and plot. As far as I can tell, it was just going to be a huge Xenomorph with the design were accustomed to.

I'll take your word for it, I'm still going to avoid reading further and just wait for the movie.
The thing I found most interesting about Prometheus was reestablishing the Xenomproph as a Bioweapon and not just some big dumb giant alien insect. As much as I love Aliens, the Queen pushed the notion that the Xenos are just bugs; binging them back to a biological weapon also brings back the body horror aspects of Kane's baby in the first Alien, and I think Prometheus was successful at that despite characters acting stupidly.
It would've been interesting to see where the Deacon creature would've lead too, but creating a new alien form is inline with the Bioweapon nature of this creature.

Agreed. Love Aliens immensely, but I always hated the idea of the Queen due to the bug hive angle, and not just engineered like how they were implied in Alien and even in their design.

I think the creature design is pretty cool if seen from an evolutionary bio weapon design. End result being the Big Chap which is the "perfect organism"

I like blomkomps movies (minus Elysium) just fine, but I hope they do scrap his alien movie. The idea of erasing part 3 and 4 is just stupid. In my opinion 3 was extremely good, and 4 was just a different movie that nobody expected (plus it was kinda doomed from the start). If you actually watch 4 and put the first three out of your mind, it's not that bad. It's just different.
Now if blomkomp did a movie that progressed the alien lore story, of course I would like to see that.
Just forget having weaver and biehns characters. People move on and leave the past in the past and move forward. I feel like south park got it right with the memory berries.

Fassbender confirmed in an interview with The Irish Times that he is playing a second android named Walter, presumably an assistant onboard the Covenant. "I am allowed to say I am playing two robots – Walter and David. I think what’s great about it is that Ridley has gone back to the original DNA of Alien, the horror element of that. But is also has the scope and the scale of Prometheus. Ridley has cut it already. He is a machine. He is an incredible human being and he was in such good form. He is such an imaginative and mischievous figure."
