Well, the hands shouldn't be problem. The pegs look the same. And the neck probably attaches like the HT body so you can find adapters on the 'bay. But if they (hopefully) release them separate, they may come with adapters. I would hope so. Like MaulFan, I think certain figures should still have a sculpted neck.

I like the fact that the feet are on swivels, but most of the Star wars figures have Jack Boots, which are made of hard plastic, thus rendering them useless. I would like to see Sideshow start using softer materials in their boots.

Prometheus brought life... I think the connection is that the new body will bring more life to Sideshow's figures.

My knowledge of Greek mythology is rusty, but I thought Prometheus brought fire to us mortals.

Either way, this new 1/6 body is gonna light a fire in the sixth scale market methinks.

Well it gets a little deeper than that. The fire is symbolic of a passion for life. Too heady a discussion I think for a thread about a toy. :lol

Yay Prometheus!!!!! :blissy :devil :blissy

I've been saying that for ages...
But, to be fair, their latest releases have a much softer material on the boots. I hope by the time Han and Praji hit, they will have changed that god awful sculpt!

I guess you can also say that Sideshow is setting the 1:6 market on fire with the new body as well. Either way, the name fits. :rock

The HT True Type has a double balled joint and I didn't have problems bending those boots. There was minor resistance. I don't know how these would do, though. They do look more tight than the Buck's. Heating the boots up, then posing the ankle would help.

I hear they have been using softer plastic.

I would think Vader would use a taller version of the Prometheus. He's not fully armored like a Clone or Stormtrooper.

Now I want to know when these will go up for individual sale?

Before or after we get Indy??????

No need, HT have had theirs for a while and Medi still uses the same body. In some ways, all other companies are catching up with Medi.

Plus Medi has a bunch of different bodies. Look at Goku and Spawn. They need to use better plastic is all.

A Frankenstein 1/6 should be the inaugral figure to get this new body as Mary Shelley's original Romantic novel was a modern-day Prometheus myth.

:D:lecture

NEXT QUESTION:

When can we order Prometheus bodies to replace the Bucks on our existing figures???

(And can we get a discount if we turn in the Bucks in exchange?... yeah right! :lol )

Gonna have an issue with the head sculpts though. Otherwise, yeah, I'd replace every SS figure I've got with that body.

Hopefully, they're adaptable in some way.

Exactly because like MaulFan and others have said, Some head sculpts are going to need the neck (like Palpatine or an alien figure..).

Is there an existing adapter for Sideshow heads on different bodies?
